Destiny 2: The Witch Queen releases February 22, 2022, features Light-wielding Hive
Has the Traveler betrayed us?
In a recent developer reveal video, Bungie has announced that The Witch Queen expansion is releasing on February 22, 2022 in a reveal trailer. The expansion will feature Light-wielding Hive fighting alongside the Witch Queen Savathun, and will also have weapon crafting, plenty of new weapons and armor (including a new glaive weapon class), a new raid, new locations, and more.
Based on the trailer, players will have to fight Hive that use the Light much like Guardians do. These Hive will use their light to dodge player gunfire, launch devastating attacks against players, and more. Players will also have to make sure that they kill the Ghosts being used by the Hive so that they don't get revived.
The latest Destiny 2 expansion, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, is available now for $40 on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. The base game is free, so if you're looking to try Destiny 2 out before investing any money, you can do so.
