First Windows 10 preview build for phones will support some 512MB devices

Windows 10 preview for phones
Windows 10 preview for phones

If you were wondering if your 512MB device would get a taste of Windows 10 for phones with the upcoming preview build, you might be in luck. Though he couldn't give any specifics, Microsoft Engineering General Manager Gabriel Aul just confirmed on Twitter that there will indeed be some 512MB Windows Phones included in the list of supported devices in the first release.

As Microsoft is still finalizing the list of supported devices for the first preview, we don't know which specific phones will be included, but Aul had the following to say in response to a question about 512MB devices:

"Hmmm. Do I cave? Don't think you can squeeze anything ELSE out of me:-) Yes, we'll have 512MB devices for 1st prvw."

So there you have it, folks. If you're rocking a 512MB device, there's a chance you could get in on the first preview build for phones.

Thanks to Ali for the tip!

  • Lumia 720, please. :-)
  • I thought it did have 1gb of ram. Have I been wrong all the time? I just hope for 520, although I wont install the first build I think :)
  • i hope for 520 too ;(
  • of the x20 devices, anything below the 820 had 512 MB of RAM with the exception of the 525.
  • Thanks. Looks like I've been mistaken all the time. Thought that only 520 and 620 had 512mb. It's not going to change the world anyhow, isn't it? :D
  • I guess that includes the 820?
  • Lumia 1320....:)
  • Nah, Lumia 720 only has 512Mb of ram and hopefully they'll bring Windows 10 for phones to other 512Mb Lumias, too. :-)
  • I'll after watching if there's it a major problem. If not then I'll. I like to live in the edge :-) (Does not apply for my only and personal computer though)
  • That's the big thing will it run like shit on these low ram devices
  • Yeah, it probably will, so I'm holding off until official release for my 520. Or I could install it after a few builds.
  • Thank you BurgerKill, and +720
  • +720 to you too, portalfocus! :-)
  • I wish my L520 get it too...
  • Exactly!!! Since I sold my Blackberry Z30 and back to my Lumia 720 :)
  • My WP7.8 is 512mb...
  • But you don't have two or higher thread CPU :P
  • Nice.  Yeah ... please come to my ol' HD7!
  • I won't install W10 preview unless I get Denim for my L630 (IN) don't wanna jump to a new OS with old firmware.
  • There is no new firmware included in "Denim" for the 630, it is just the OS 8.1.1 update (exactly the same as the latest dev preview + Cyan firmware). The only devices receiving new firmware with Denim are: 830, 930, 1520, ICON.
  • This. Denim is an update in name only aside from the 830 and any devices running a Snapdragon 800 CPU.
  • Yes I know that very well. Still, Denim is a good name ;)
  • I received a firmware update today for my 635. Was Cyan, now it's Denim. http://forums.windowscentral.com/nokia-lumia-635/339081-well-my-635-rece...
  • +625,i also have Denim
  • Its already denim for L630 lol. Just roll back from preview
  • L220
  • I think: Dual core + 512MB will ne ou of 10 TP. 520, 620 and 720.
  • That is a good guess since it says some 512mb devices will get which means some won't. Hope not tho since those lower end phones make up 80 percent of the uservase
  • 720
  • I wouldn't hold my breath for Win 10 on a Win Phone 7.x device. If WinPhone 8 was a completely different architecture from WinPhone7.x which those devices were unable to be updated to (again: Unable, not unwilling)then i don't see how they could, or why they would try to, write the Win10 code to run on WinPhone 7.x devices.
  • Good move by microsoft..as lots of older model has 512 ram..
  • That was the intention since the begining I think
  • Required move by microsoft I think, because many of their ?"new"? devices have 512mb ram.
  • I don't understand...didn't MS say ALL wp8 devices could upgrade? And now they're saying only SOME will?
  • I'm guessing only some will for the preview, this is not the actual final build of the OS.
  • Same thoughts
  • But still...they're making a difference. So when the final build comes out, will some phones get it after others? How much time difference? I was expecting to test my 620 with w10 and if I like it I'd buy a higher end. But maybe I won't be able to test anything..
  • I think its how for Windows 10 TP, tablets running a compressed OS be aren't able to run the current build. Maybe future builds will support more 512MB devices.
  • Yep, I remember MS said that.
  • Then again Chris Weber on Conversations blog said "not all phones will upgrade". :( Whether he meant that some carriers may not bother to test and offer or that MS won't be making it available for all models is not clear.
  • They said all modern windows 8 phones will be able to upgrade, I think. They hedged themselves.
  • With that i think he meant l1520, l1320, and the x30 series for the lumias..
  • Perfect use for my 520. Not going to install this on my primary phone. TP for my laptop was/is still too buggy.
  • That's awesome, but WHEEEEN? :o
  • "coming soon" as usual
  • with the amount of info and leaks in the last 3 days, I'd say a week is a good guess. or maybe I'm just hoping..
  • Isn't it great that there is always something to look forward to
  • Soon©
  • Sometime in this month.
  • Monday morning.
  • Awesome. Just awesome.
  • Lumia 520 please
  • I hope 630 and 520 will get it
  • +630
  • Pls dnt underestimate L620 :)
  • +620
  • +620
  • Mine to 620....
  • +620
  • +620
  • If only that phone had a better battery life on 8.1 it would still be my daily driver.
  • Hopefully the 8S is included, even if HTC killed the phone. Don't want trying it on my new L830, even if I'm very excited to try the next cool stuff. ^^
  • Hard to tell. 8S has really low internal memory. I have sold mine and bought 8X which is also killed by HTC. Luckily you have Nokia Recovery tool for your Lumia so if anything goes wrong you can always revert to previous state.
  • I cant wait for the w10.... Lumia 920
  • You can always bet your model, won't be supported.
  • Oh yeah!
  • Going to simple guys...has nothing to do with RAM.  It is all about your processor.  Quad Core=yes Dual Core=no So 635=yes and 1020=no
  • citation needed
  • Source?
  • Yeah right. Lol. Good luck proving all dual core devices wont get the update. Since when is RAM not important in running an OS... I can't even...
  • that's funny, the new 435 is dual core...
  • I thought that too. Great minds think alike!
  • I'd be surprised if the 920 and 1020 don't get in.
  • Where did you get that info dude? It has everything to do with ram. It is not the official build so it is far from optimized and so 512 MB ram might not be sufficient for certain tasks and it might crash. As far as dual core is concerned, it shouldn't be a problem as 1020 and my 925 have 1.5 GHz processors. That's plenty of power for the tech preview.
  • If it has to do with ram, then a Lumia 124 with a 100 MHz processor and 1 GB of ram will run it.
  • Thanks to the Qualcomm S4 :)
  • You really don't know what you're talking about it.
  • It means all Lumia x2x want have it? Because they all run with dual core snapdragon s4,I don't think soo, wrong
  • Wrong
  • Sorry buddy, but with that comment all you showed is the simplicity of your thinking and the fact you know not what you speak of. So please, try again.
  • Where does that leave the "Windows 10 ready" Lumia 435?
(hint: It have a dual core cpu)
  • Funny you say that because the most recent leaks are down on a 1020.
  • he say, "yes, we'll have 512MB devices for 1st preview". so it will be wider devices on next preview updates, all WP8.1 devices on consumer preview to final! hope so.
  • Buddy u dint looked at the pic Daniel posted with many lumias stacked on a wall running w10 n there was Lumia 1020 in right upper corner.. Moreover the recently leaked screenshot had Lumia 1020 running W10 TP
  • This.
  • And about Lumia 435?
  • Slap aah!!!!!!
  • RAM is important. Lol
    While processors are important
RAM is also very important Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Is it so ???
  • I hope my HTC 8S gets it!
  • Would have been disappointed if otherwise
  • You almost gave me a heart attack. Never start an article with "First Windows 10 preview build for phones ..." unless you are going to say that it has been released :)
  • Hahahah,,exactly my thoughts lol
  • Same here, hhhh
  • Hahaha same here :')
  • Yeah, I thought the same xD
  • Totally agree. That title caught me hook, line and sinker.
  • hue.
  • Same Here.. It Was A BIG LETDOWN
  • Saw my live tile, got super excited, then was like, "Ooohhhh...."
  • That was probably Dan's intention :p.
  • Same here... I yesterday i was in office n saw this article...thinking about to take leave..Haha xD
  • Hope Lumia 625 ir 620 will get it
  • +625
  • +630
  • +625 (LT) :)
  • +625 LT too
  • atpazinau, pagal mobilios nicka :D
  • :D žinau kad mobilioj dar yra tomas su L625, pasaulis mažas.
  • Yep :)
  • Denim please
  • Really?
  • Yes, Denim may be rolling along with Windows 10 preview, w/o denim many will be backward.
  • 635 and 521 hopefully!
  • Lumia 820 is getting it?
  • 820 has 1 GB of RAM, so it is presumably safe anyway
  • deleted,
  • Hope they have for lumia 520 but am thinking that it these devices do get wp10 it won't be with all the features
  • If I could not get it on my 720 then I will switch to iOS :D
  • He is talking about the first preview. Not the final version.
  • Really, you'd switch to another OS because you're outdated, low-end device couldn't get a tech preview build? You know the iPhone 4 can't get iOS 8?
  • You know iPhone 4 is 5 years old and Lumia 720 is only 2, right?
  • 2 yrs ld = old device. 4 yrs ld = old device.
  • Ohhh thn 1yr ld = old device, 1 month ld = old device??
  • iPhone is a flagship,720 low end. Not a fair comparison. I'd they said the 920 wasn't getting WP 10, that would be a fair argument.
  • MS clearly said ALL wp8 and 8.1... Now, the next questions are: All models at the same time? If not, when? All phones will get the same w10 or some will have a limited OS? I'd be pissed if it's like that, because they're still launching 512mb ram phones to this day. These phones MUST support their new OS
  • Then again Chris Weber on Conversations blog said "not all phones will upgrade". :( Whether he meant that some carriers may not bother to test and offer or that MS won't be making it available for all models is not clear.
  • Hmmm.. Somehow I feel like the Huawei Phones won't get it....
  • not officially for sure, but through this program its possible. how well it'll work is the question.
  • Huaweis didn't get official 8.1, but they get preview build till now (only who update their phones before september). So, I think Huaweis can get Tech Previews of Win10 too.
  • As if the first build being buggy wasn't enough, people are going to try running it on devices with only 512MB RAM and probably old slow dual core CPU's. Be prepared! Lol
  • MS! Enough with the leaks please, if you want to leak something, leak the release date and stopy toying with people's emotions.
  • They are not leaking, people are asking.
  • Geez dude...getting too emotionally involved man. Chill out. It will be here soon enough.
  • Stop the teasing, I want Windows 10 now :D
  • When the heck is it coming?
  • Okay, the "Some" & "List of Supported Devices" are a bit suspicious.
    #TheRockRaisesThePeopleEyebrow
  • Nice hashtag haha
  • Hehehe, thanks :)
  • The "supported devices" is for the technical preview, he is talking about TP, not the final build.
  • Yep.
  • Then again Chris Weber on Conversations blog said "not all phones will upgrade". :( Whether he meant that some carriers may not bother to test and offer or that MS won't be making it available for all models is not clear
  • Ahhhh,,really tired of waiting. Just release it, or don't play with us, Microsoft
  • Or you could calm the f*ck down about a phone update... Why would they release it before its ready?
  • You can calm down yourself! If you've read my second sentence. you would have known, that I'm just expressing my opinion to Microsoft that they shouldn't play with us that much !
  • How tha hell they are playing with us? 28th February it is still February.
  • I read your second sentence and I agree...calm down!!!
  • They're giving this information because people ask. They're not just randomly saying stuff.
  • My comment was made specifically made for your second sentence. Implying that Microsoft is "playing with you" is a little overdramatic.
  • I think this just means that only Snapdragon x00 devices will be supported while S4 and S4 Pro will come later.
  • I hope phones with the S4 in it, get the update...i don't think they would leave out the 1020 and the 925
  • I'm sure they will, but reading between the lines, they may not come until later. Hence the "some". The current technical preview for the desktop didn't support every chipset out of the gate and they're even adding more support each build.
  • I don't think they will either. Regardless, I'm not going to put the tech preview on my only phone, that being a 925. I may wait until it hits dev preview.
  • Dev preview will most likely be replaced by the insider app.
  • I don't think so. Dev preview gives RTM code, not beta. The Insider app will actually be pre-release software.
  • Agree with this. Why would they only give the option to use pre-release OS updates, techfreak? Isn't tech preview actually for IT professionals, not regular consumers? I may know a little bit about a little bit, but I'm not sacrificing my phone for an alpha OS update, if it can even be considered that.
  • JUST RELEASE IT ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • IT'S NOT READY AND JUDGING BY THE OVERLY EMOTIONAL IRRATIONAL WAY PEOPLE ARE RESPONDING TO THIS THEY NEED TO MAKE SURE THE RELEASE INTENDED FOR HUNTING BUGS DOESNT HAVE BUGS OR ELSE THERE WILL BE A FLOOD OF POSTS WRITTEN BY WHAT SEEM LIKE MENSTRUATING TEEN GIRLS COMPLAINING IT DOESNT WORK
  • HTC 8S PLEASE!!!!! :D
  • Any article titled windows 10 takes my breath away for a few seconds
  • Will the current preview for dev version of app installed and used for downloading win8 be used also to download win10?
  • No. You have to install Windows Insider app.
  • Not very confident, that my ativ s will ever get win10
  • I want W10 in my ativ S too
  • I hope they don't limit the preview to Lumia devices. I would like to run it on my Samsung Ativ S Neo (Sprint).
  • Hopefully I can put it on my backup 635 vs my daily 1520
  • I betting on the 10th :) one as its normal update day (2nd Tuesday) and 10 :)
  • What's your wager? A spare WP device you have laying around perhaps??? Haha
  • No spare devices. One windows device is enough. ;) have plenty of Symbian or android ones lol
  • I hope it supports Lumia 520
  • Did I miss a story - was there ever any indication that 512 devices wouldnt get it?
  • Who knows. MS changing their minds more than the weather :)
  • Chris Weber on Conversations blog said "not all phones will upgrade". :( Whether he meant that some carriers may not bother to test and offer or that MS won't be making it available for all models is not clear.
  • i think th 520 will be included as it has 8gb internal memory. If ram isnt the issue as its releasing for "Some" then may be the storage is
  • 620, 520 not likely then cause of just being old.
  • You guys should release it already. All this suspense and in the end u guys release it and it is useless ,I'm going back to android. So better impress us
  • 625 and 1520 going to W10.... Wheee!
  • Even tho I love Lumia 620 next to my 1520. I have no idea how well Lumia 620 stands between other low end phones on ratings. Is it near the top of the low end series or just plain on the bottom. With that i hope Lumia 620 also gets it
  • L520 •-• Spartan
  • L620 :)
  • Fingers crossed for Lumia 625! ;)
  • Sitting here with my 630, never even doubted for a second that I would get the preview.
  • Oh thanks Microsoft. The majority of Windows Phone devices out there have only 512Mb. At least release it to the most popular ones like 520, 625 and 630, ok?
  • You forgot 720.. :/
  • Is the Phone Insider app taken down from Store? Can't find the article about renaming in WC too.
  • Its named "Windows Insider" now.
  • Awesome! My 720 awaits...
  • Previously MS said all WP8 devices can upgrade to W10. Now MS said some of ... It is a shame
  • .... Z Minus for reading comprehension.
  • Fool
  • +520
  • i just hate MS playing the game.. false hope pisses customers. hopefully they learn how to say it straightly fast.
  • Some of you seem to be blind, stupid, illiterate or from...  'Yes, we'll have 512MB devices for 1st prvw.' == The first Preview of the mobile version of Windows 10 will be available for phones with only 512MB of memory. They've also said that Win 10 will work on ALL 8.0/8.1 phones. So stop asking stupid questions and carry on with your lives, cause you are pathetic asking the same question over and over.
  • Eh, things have changed. Old statement does NOT apply anymore. At least IF u read that one. So calm the frik down and behave with the comments.
  • Yeah, it is incredibly unnerving..
I guess the zombies can't resist windows central, given the amount of registered users and guest visitors.
Also to the second and first part of your comment, take a chill pill! That is unnecessary.
  • Someone needs to get a grip.
  • Then again Chris Weber on Conversations blog said "not all phones will upgrade". :( Whether he meant that some carriers may not bother to test and offer or that MS won't be making it available for all models is not clear.
  • Bitter sweet moment when windows 10 for phones come out. I'm sure the build in music app that's currently in wp8 will be no more. :(
  • Yeeeeyyyy awesomeness all around
  • This will definitely go in my 1520 bring it on
  • 1520, really? its a low end phone older model. I highly doubt if it will get windows 10 :P
  • Lol.
  • Did some of you lose 90% of your brain cells with the cold weather or something lol? Jeez, some of the comments here...
  • Some here acting all high almighty need to calm down and relax more. So i agree with u.
  • Well your bound to get that, due to the amount of silly statements lol. Some can't refrain / control themselves.
  • Lol I think some comments worsen with each passing day!
  • Nah, the user base is growing by each passing day. There are all kinds of people in this world. Some with better grasp of things and some not, hence why you have teachers, lecturers, scientists, professors etc.
Unfortunately it just appears the comment section is filling up with two groups of zombies - one group with a slightly higher mental capacity, being attracted to the lesser.
  • Microsoft, no other company shows as much support for its legacy products
  • Well you have Apple as well. IPhone 4s released in 2011 and has iOS 8. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Do I need the "insider" app for an update for my 925, cause I'm from Slovenia and it is not available in the windows store =/
  • Windows insider app is not available via the Windows phone store. Best to find it easily via google or the 'Sysapp pusher' app if u want to get into preview of Windows 10. Full official update will not require the app later in the year.
  • This is what I get, when I try to google the app, it redirects me to the store in wich I get this response. https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=89AA2D2742B0003A!23342&authkey=!AArBtCrtjexCARo&v=3&ithint=photo%2cpng https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=89AA2D2742B0003A!23343&authkey=!ACL7baA2GU6nmZw&v=3&ithint=photo%2cpng
  • Last thing u can try is, change region to US and try again.
  • Thinking of getting a 735 to use with W10 preview builds and as a spare handset for the wife and I... Please offer some feedback on usage with 735. Is it worth a buy? If my other half likes it I may try and get her to use it as her daily driver as her galaxy s5 is AWFUL even with android 5.0 on it!!
  • "some" hmmm... Does anyone know if Cyan/8.1 WILL be a requrement for WP 10 to install ? That is the big question for a lot of us....
  • Upvote
  • I haven't even received my denim update for ATT 1520 and we're all excited about which phones will get the w10 for phones preview.
  • Would love to see this on a Lumia 520, though not holding my breath for the older device. I have one that's sitting idle as a test/backup phone and if they can finally get a real working "Family Safety" working for it, I'd install in a heartbeat so I could feel a bit more comfortable letting my kid use it. With "Windows everywhere" as the new idea, it seems like the WP Family Safety features should finally mimic those on the desktop - logging, white/blacklists, allowed hours, allowed apps, etc. Those would be great to have on a mobile device for parents. Even allowing everything, but keeping a log for discussions would be a major positive, but I think there are quite a few parents who would like a little more control over what their kids do with the devices in their hands.
  • W
  • Hope my Lumia 630 can get it.
  • I have a 635 and it's a relatively new device with 512mb of ram hopefully 635 owners can run W10
  • 520 is a must lol
  • Think it will only be the 530.
  • Grabs popcorn ! this is going to be good
  • Htc 8s :/
  • 635
  • Hahaha almost 2yrs im using 520 and now im excited
  • Glad to see the 512MB Lumia phones are getting the Windows10 OS preview (like my 521). Makes sense, seeing that the majority of Windows phones currently in use are the AT&T 520, and Tmo's 521. Glad too, that Microsoft is letting us by-pass our carriers altogether, and get the os update directly from MS.
  • I want my 520 to me in that "some" devices!!
  • Hope my wife's 521 is... It's within the support life cycle...
  • 520 please m. Waiting for long time...
  • F*** you MS, if I won't get it than bye bye.
  • Bye, bye...not get the technical preview and you're out? Sounds like we don't need you...
  • Hoping to Lumia 830 being eligible for the preview. Lumia 830 users have always been cheated by Microsoft. In India still no denim for 830. Waiting from 3 months to use Lumia camera 5
  • 520, and I'll test it good. :-)
  • He did mention "some" so don't expect too much, especially with those who have lumia 520
  • I had 610. Plz give it to me...
  • Give for 520
  • In India mostly users are using Lumia 520 if u not give windows 10 update then u r getting very big loss always remember this:/
  • It's for all for your Lumia 520. Be ready for something new
  • Very big loss of what?...all that money you guys spend?
  • Ya people mostly used 520 in India including me but things are changing and I see all are moving to 535..
  • Lumia 635 please
  • 620
  • More devices equates to more feedback, more feedback equates to better builds, with the 520 standing tall as the most used Windows Phone this seemed only logical - granted albeit MS has its times when they fail in this regard...
  • Pls add my lumia 730 for Windows 10 preview!
  • Might not be all it is considering the lackluster 512 megabyte amount of RAM. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • I hope the Lumia 520 is supported. Once I get my new phone (a Lumia 930) and retire my 520 it will get Windows 10 right away. I don't really want it on my primary phone just yet.
  • Good news, I'm ready for windows 10
  • The 520 has a huge market share on the WP platform. They have to make W10 work perfectly there for their own good..
  • Yes, I agree with you.
  • H
  • I knw win10 cme fr Lumia 530
  • I'm assuming that only quad core 512 devices are eligible for the update.
  • You're probably right.
  • Lumia 720, please :)
  • 625 already in
  • 520,720,630 THIS 3 DEVICES GOOD FOR THE FIRST TECHNICAL PREVIEW FOR PHONES.
  • 520 dam sure
  • Woohoo! But I'm not gonna download the preview anyway.
  • I recently got myself a 730 and have my old 520 kept around. I have been hoping to get my hands on the build for phones since ever. Hope my 520 gets to run it, don't wanna do a tech preview on my daily driver :)
  • Am I missing something? Where does he actually say "some" 512 devices? He said "We'll have 512MB devices for 1st prvw"... Even after reading the whole thread on twitter, he just couldn't officially CONFIRM that the 520 either was/wasn't getting it... This means nothing. I understand the excitement for W10, I'm excited too, but all this nonsensical 'panic' is beyond ridiculous. Even if your phone ends up never receiving W10 it's not going to suddenly burst into flames, it'll still work exactly as it does now, in the same manor as the device you originally paid for. Microsoft has no legal obligation to provide you with a new OS for free, but its important to remember that it is very much in their interests to do just that. Therefore they are going to do everything they can in order to get this new OS into the hands of as many people as possible. If your device doesn't meet the (as yet unconfirmed) requirements, there will be a performance related reason for that. Unfortunately if you want to live on the edge of the technology world, you have to pay for it. Rant over.
  • 520 please
  • They are supporting 512 mb devices because most of the market share from 512 mb device. If they drop from win 10 phone market share of windows phone devices. Graph of platform very down.
  • I think Lumia 520 will be in the list.....
  • Tats rt,520 has biggest share in Windows phone.
  • Fuck Microsoft when released wp 10 update....
  • Okay, so one should install windows 10 developer preview thru insider app or preview for developers app?
  • how about htc 8x
  • Hoping for 635 support
  • If that's the case I guess the only phones excluded will be carrier locked crap, which means nothing if you install dev prev
  • L630/635 will definitely get the update guys cause the phone was on display during the 21st Jan event... Check out the verge article is on there
  • C'mon L630 is ready now!
  • That's good but anyone should expect that, all supported windows 8 devices should run Windows 10 it's an operating system, it will work, but how will depend on your Hardware. Mines a HTC 8s with 512MB Ram running Windows Phone 8.1 Update latest version. I recommend you to  backup your stuff, and reset your phone to get rid of some unwanted apps, clear up some space, then install the Preview i'm just thinking it might perform better without any runbbish like cookies, data and apps weighing it down.  It's a beta preview so we'll need to give Microsoft as much Feedback to improve it.
  • 520 is waiting
  • Does that some devices counts 630DS ???
  • I skimmed through the comments and found everyone talking about 512RAM being the cause for support of Windows 10 TP. My guess is, it'll be supported based on internal flash storage of the device. Since it'll be a preview build, it'll need more space, and that rollback feature gonna need storage as well. So, to me it looks like devices with 4GB storage are gonna be missing preview builds, maybe initial ones. As they polish and move towards more stable and small builds, they might allow these low storage devices. And of course, MS already said they will support all WP8 devices, so the final build will be sure coming to all of these devices.  // chall3ng3r //
  • SIt will be great if I will be able to test in on my old HTC 8S but I'm afraid that this device wouldn't be supported. xD
  • I recently bought a Lumia 635 and hopefully I will be able to upgrade to the Windows 10 Preview build whe its finally release for installation.
  • Wat about MS 535?
  • I have the HTC 8x. I hope it will get the first preview for windows 10. I have 8.10.14219.341 right now. I have a developer account and all that jazz.
  • This is really awesome........ happy to hear that windows 10 is going to work with 512 MBs... From 5 years am using Nokia Lumia 710, with 512 MB RAM and super 1.4 Ghz processor. I beg u Windows team..... Please tell me whether it is applicable for NOKIA LUMIA 710...?
  • Some 512mb ram devices means our Lumia 520,620,720 is the last windows phone. That mean our windows phone will not get windows 10 for phone in future???
  • They shouldn't have limited themselves to this. They didn't update wp7 phones when 8 came out so why shouldn't they just release new phones designed around Windows 10 and not waste a lot of resources getting it to work on low end 8.1 phones.
  • Lumia 630 please
  • My 820 not Denim... My 1320 with Denim, will upgrade both to Win10!? 820 have a S4 and 1320 a Snapdragon 400
  • +925 please.
