A fond farewell...

A good friend once said of Dieter Bohn, our Editor in Chief, "He's got mad talent!". Mad talent that he's shared with Smartphone Experts over the years to help build seven smartphone communities. Mad talent that has been a joy to be around.

Today is Dieter's last day with Smartphone Experts as he has chosen to pursue new endeavors. I've work with Dieter for just over four years now and it has been a pleasure.  As others will agree, we've learned a lot from Dieter and will miss his presence.

The staff at WPCentral would like to extend our thanks to Dieter for all the work he's done to support not only Windows Phones but all the other mobile platforms that are a part of the Smartphone Experts community.  We know that where ever he should land, whatever venture he pursues, he and his mad talent will find success.

Best wishes my friend.

George is the Reviews Editor at Windows Central, concentrating on Windows 10 PC and Mobile apps. He's been a supporter of the platform since the days of Windows CE and uses his current Windows 10 Mobile phone daily to keep up with life and enjoy a game during down time.

  • good bye, Dieter, you will be missed! It was about five years ago that I started using smartphones and i quickly turn to the inter webs for info, tricks, and software for my windows mobile devices. It was then when I bumped into wmexperts, Malatesta, Dieter, and the podcast.I learned lot of tricks and always laugh at this two with their jokes. ahh , and the music (intro of the podcast) always make me want to jump of a bridge, but is ok, I got used to it. Thank you Dieter and good luck!
  • Good luck Deiter! I listened to your pod-casts back when I had a 50 minute commute and a Treo 700w...Thanks for all your insight and humor!
  • Good luck Deiter! you will be missed.
  • Wow, I remember searching for information on the HTC Touch way back when and coming across WM Experts. It quickly became my go-to site (and podcast) for all things Windows Mobile. (I was just thinking about podcast today - how glad I was that Deiter was back on-board and how much I was looking forward to the next episode). You should be very proud of the SPE empire has grown under your watch. Thanks and best of luck in your new endeavors!
