Gear up for Mass Effect: Andromeda with its epic launch trailer

After what has no doubt been an agonizing wait for fans of the franchise, Mass Effect: Andromeda (opens in new tab) is almost here. If you're eager to start planet hopping for yourself, you can now stoke that hype even further by checking out the game's newly released launch trailer. Give it a watch below:
If you haven't been following the story so far, Andromeda follows on the heels of the original trilogy as you wake up from a 600-year trip to find a habitable planet to settle. Of course, things don't look to be going as smoothly as anticipated, and that's where your story as Ryder, the Pathfinder, begins.
In any case, Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to launch on March 21, and we'll learn much more about the game's mysteries then. For now, you can go ahead and pre-order the game if you want to dive in right away at launch.

For the curious, the song is 'Human' by Rag'N'Bone Man

Nice light show but not as compelling to me compared to the original. Pass till its in the bargain bin.
-
I wish this could be bundled with the original 3. I'd love to have them remastered along with this.

As a big fan of Mass Effect Trilogy, it looks compelling to me, but I'm still wating for reviews and more info before purchasing. I hope it is as fun and deep as ME2 and has the gravistas of ME3 (bar the ending which sucked).

Preordered! However I still have to play the first three. The first one I started but couldn't get past some fight early on. Wouldn't it be cool if BioWare made a playable "Coles Notes" condensed version of the trilogy before entering into Andromeda?
-
You don't need to play the first three, really. Andromeda is separate from them.
-
Oh? Good to know!
-
There is a comic like app where you can highlight the choices of the first two games if you need to, but play the games if you have the time.
-
Never played the first one, the 2nd one sort of does a good job giving you the info on some of the stuff. I only played 2 and 3. Maybe i did play 1 after don't recall hehe.

The song on its own is nice but does not fit with this trailer, let alone does not gives a Mass Effect vibe. Very bad choice.

As someone who have never played the mass effect series, it does exactly what it is suppose to. Create hype and make you want to buy it :)
