The Coalition has introduced a limited time event for Gears of War 4 in celebration of the Halloween period. As a part of the festivities, players will be given access to a new Pumpkin Ball mode and limited edition Gear Packs.
The event marks the debut of Gears of War 4's first special playlist, which puts a unique spin on the existing Dodgeball game mode.
We're excited to share the details of the first special event for Gears of War 4 - Pumpkin Ball! Pumpkin Ball is a remix of Dodgeball that introduces 1 second respawn times and reduced respawn protection, resulting in a faster paced Dodgeball experience where the dead don't stay dead for long.
This social playlist will take place across five of the game's maps: Fallout, Forge, Harbor, Impact, and Lift. During the event, Pumpkin Ball players will also be dressed in spooky attire, with the return of Pumpkin Head helmets. Pumpkin Ball is now available to play under the game's Versus menu on both Xbox One and Windows 10.
Later today Halloween Gear Packs are also set to hit the Gears of War store, guaranteeing Epic of Legendary cards in each box. These are a variant of the existing Elite Gear Pack, and will be available until the event concludes on November 1.
Are you still enjoying Gears of War 4? Will you get back in for the Halloween event? Make sure to let us know in the comments!
