GroupMe updated to version 4.4, includes more language support and optimisations

GroupMe is a popular service from Microsoft, enabling consumers to connect with others using groups (hence the name). It's an app that enables consumers to transfer photos, while making use of both push and SMS for messages.

We've been notified of yet another update for GroupMe on Windows Phone. Version 4.4, which has been published to the store and should be live within the next 24 hours, introduces a number of new additions to the experience. The app was only updated to version 4.3 back in February and included numerous features consumers were crying out for. So what's new in this latest release?

Two notable changes include the ability to login using an email and password, as well as sorting out issues with users not receiving PINs. The service can call or send an SMS to verify the number on the account. Here's a list of other additions included in version 4.4:

  • Internationalized into 11 languages:
    • Chinese
    • Dutch
    • German
    • French
    • Indonesian
    • Italian
    • Japanese
    • Korean
    • Polish
    • Portuguese
    • Russian
  • Much more stable behaviour when returning to the app
  • A number of bug fixes

You can download GroupMe from the Windows Phone Store. Note that the update will go live in the next 24 hours. The support team will be monitoring this article so be sure to shout out any questions you may have.
