Mini-PCs have become popular alternative PC desktops that offer fast performance rates, large storage spaces, and compact sizes that rival increasingly expensive PC towers but for lower costs.
Geekom's mini-PCs are considered to be textbook examples of why mini-PCs are awesome, or serve as solid foundations that can be easily upgraded with better hardware for improved performance.
The Geekom A7 MAX Mini-PC is the latter, and it's now on sale for $549.00 at Best Buy, just for today.
Clear out a day's worth of assignments and play Minecraft while on breaks with the Geekom A7 MAX Mini-PC, configured with an AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS processor, Radeon 780M GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD.
Why buy the Geekom A7 MAX Mini-PC?
For starters, the Geekom A7 Mini-PC is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS CPU (with 8-Cores and 16 threads), which gives it the ability to handle productivity tasks in Microsoft Office, browsing the internet, editing 4K videos, and general content creation with smooth and speedy performance ratings.
It's also decent for casual PC gaming on the side as its integrated AMD Radeon 780M GPU allows achieving 1080p resolutions with most light/indie titles and even a few AAA titles (so long as they're on low or medium graphical settings).
Other notable features include upgradable 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD for extra storage or performance rates when booting up, a wide variety of Ethernet and USB4 ports, and a compact size of 127.6x127.2x1.6mm dimensions so it doesn't take too much desk space.
Plus, it has four performance modes, Quad-Monitor support, a Windows 11 Pro pre-installed, and a 3-year warranty.

It's not entirely perfect, however. According to Tech Radar's review of the Geekom A7 Max Mini-PC, its performance is somewhat held back by having only one 16GB SO-DIMM RAM stick installed, which halves the performance potential of its GPU. If you can upgrade it with a second SO-DIMM RAM stick, you can greatly improve its performance for gaming.
As a result of this single SO-DIMM RAM issue (and frequently running hot under heavy workloads), its full $699.99 MSRP can be a bitter pill to swallow.
But, with this one-day 21% discount taking it down to $549.00 at Best Buy, it's now more palatable and worth the investment in owning not only a solid professional workhorse Mini-PC, but a foundation rife with potential in creating one of the best mini-PCs for gaming.
