HTC releasing Windows Mobile 6.5 updates for non-U.S. phones

For those of you with HTC devices who either imported them or got them through other means — we're talking non-U.S. carrier-branded phones here — official Windows Mobile 6.5 updates are being released.

Here's what we've got:

  • Windows Mobile 6.5 for Finnish version fo the Touch Pro 2. [download (opens in new tab)]
  • Windows Mobile 6.5 for WWE versions of the Touch Pro 2. [download (opens in new tab)]
  • Windows Mobile 6.5 for WWE versions of the Snap. [download (opens in new tab)]

Again, if you're using a Touch Pro 2 with Verizon, T-Mobile or Sprint in the United States, this isn't for you. Consider yourself warned.

  • If these updates are the same as the ones posted at XDas and HTCPedia then its ok to update if your on a t-mobile USA or Sprint or any other US carrier.. if you have the HARDSPL i think because i have flash the rom from XDA to my phone and it went thru.. sooo if you want 6.5 on your touchpro 2 you could head over to XDA or HTCPedia
  • Whoever the idiot above me is is flat out wrong. You can NOT flash Sprint or Verizon phones with the above ROMS. They are GSM ROMS. Sprint and Verizon are CDMA. idiot...
  • wow, Microsoft is reeeeeeally pushing the standby time for Verizon's TP2... https://www.windowscentral.com/e?link=https2F%2Fclick.linksynergy.co... haha. still wondering why the VZW version gets an extra hour of talk time vs. the Sprint version. I can't wait to get it this week though.
