Incredible Circus Remix is the follow-up Windows Phone game from iNdT, a non-profit research and development institute founded by Nokia. Incredible Circus Remix picks up where Incredible Circus left off with you taking on the role of daredevil Pierre as he works his way through 85 levels of death defying stunts.
The physics based game has plenty of challenges and dangers such as man-eating lions, knife throwers and fire rings. Available for low-memory Windows Phones, Incredible Circus Remix is a nice sequel to the original and not a bad Windows Phone game to pass the time with.
Your main menu for Incredible Circus Remix tosses out the option to log into the game with your Facebook account, mute the sound and head into game play. The 85 levels of play are spread out across five chapters that are progressively unlocked as you earn stars during game play. Incredible Circus Remix also include over forty achievements, which are accessible from the gaming chapters screen.
The goal of each level of play is to navigate your stunt man to a landing pad. To get there you will have to catapult, ricochet and shoot Pierre from a canon. Between the starting point and landing pad of each level you will find knife throwers, man-eating lions, flaming rings and other dangers you will have to avoid. You also have that pesky gaming element called gravity that can ruin Pierre's day as well.
Each level of play will afford you three lives just in case you get hit with a stray knife or flaming ring. Getting eaten by a lion will run through all three lives at once.
Prior to each gaming level, you will have the opportunity to buy power-ups to help your chances of success. The three power-ups include aimed jumps (increases perfect landing area), back jump (lets you come back from a fall) and pro helmet (gives you an extra life). You do not have to buy a power-up and can always proceed without.
Power-ups will cost you a number of hats that can be earned during game play or purchased through the gaming store.
Game play will test your timing, speed, aim and patience. Scoring is a combination of how many lives you have at the end of a level and how well you stick the landing. The more to the center of the landing pad, the better your score. You have to opportunity to earn up to three stars with each level and you to earn a set number of stars before additional gaming chapters become available.
Incredible Circus Remix is an entertaining Windows Phone game and a nice follow-up of the original. Game play is simple to pick up but that does not mean the levels are pushovers. Graphics are well drawn up and the gaming levels often have more than one way to reach the safety of your landing pad. Some paths are a little easier than the alternatives, which gives the game a bit of a strategy feel about it.
Incredible Circus Remix also has a slight addictive quality to game play. Do not be surprised if you sit down to try the game only to find yourself playing a dozen gaming levels. The only downside to the game is that there is only 85 levels of play.
It's a fun title to have in your Windows Phone gaming library and at last check, Incredible Circus Remix is pulling down a 4.5 Star rating in the Windows Phone Store. We would rate in the 4 star range but will not quibble over the half star.
