India's all-sports portal, Sportskeeda, launches Windows Phone app

Established in 2009, Sportskeeda is the largest all-sports website in Asia, publishing news and opinions on over fifty sports and claims to have a footprint of over 10 million readers every month. The portal has a thriving online sports community, and editorial content by some of the best sports writers in the world.

A couple of weeks ago, the Sportskeeda Official app landed on the Windows Phone Store and brings to you the latest news and updates from the world of sports. Developed by the same folks who brought the newsreader app, Plash, the Sportskeeda app offers easy and intuitive user experience with a focus on content.

The app offers a neat design with featured articles on the home screen. You can navigate to a particular article or different categories to check out articles about a particular sport. While you're reading an article, you can like it or bookmark it, or share it via email, SMS, or other apps on your Windows Phone device.

Download the Sportskeeda Official app for free for Windows Phone 8 devices from the Windows Phone Store. Sportskeeda attempts to be a one-stop sporting destination, and they aren't far from the vision. Give it a whirl, and let us know how you like it.

  • Anyone experiencing a glitch while closing the very last tab in IE on WP 8.1 Cyan. It was there on developers preview too but one of my friend's device (Lumia 920) with Cyan has it too.
There is a one second break when you close the very last tab in IE by going to the tabs section. Looks very poor on a stable version.
