Lumia 800 featured in latest BetVictor television advertisement

The Nokia Lumia 800 has been featured in a recent BetVictor television advert, which we spotted on Comedy Central. BetVictor (Victor Chandler International) is a leading British bookmakers and has a strong television presence. At the 16 second mark in the advertisement, we can clearly see the Lumia 800 on the table, but unfortunately both the Windows Phone UI and Nokia branding are absent for brand-free purposes.

While no BetVictor app is available on the Marketplace, and with a generic placeholder used on the Lumia 800, it's still good to see Windows Phone being used in marketing campaign. We'll take anything to get word out to potential buyers as the Lumia 800 / 900 Windows Phone design is fairly iconic to get by without branding. Check out the advertisement below.

  • Another one 4 WP7 best OS n the known Universe
  • i was about to say that the phone looks like the n9, but then i noticed the camera button on the right
  • Nice!
  • Very good :)
  • 0 Betting Apps on WP7 right now. :(
  • Here's some (not so secret) insider information for you: Keep an eye on the phone. The deal on the screen changes dynamically. ;)
  • No Windows logo and no Nokia logo. With such low market share currently, Joe schmo just sees a generic phone. Not really a win for either company, especially in a time where you're trying to build awareness. Removing the windows logo on the phone is bad.
  • Yeah that doesn't really scream windows phone to me
  • Thats nothing.

  • Looks more like the N9 than the L800 to me.
  • You can use betvictors mobile site on a windows phone, but there is no app yet
  • would say that bet365 is better than bet victor on the lumia in terms of use
  • Bet Victor performes a lot better on Android, I'm suprised to see them advertising it on a Lumia, heres a glowing review of it!
