Microsoft releases Windows 10 build 14393.67 for PC and phone Insiders

If you're an Insider on the fast, slow or Release Preview rings, on both PC and mobile, we have some good news for you. Microsoft has just pushed out a new cumulative update, newer than the one the public got earlier today.

The newer cumulative update should bring your devices to 14393.67, and contains a bunch of new fixes for Insiders to test. Microsoft is yet to post an official changelog, but once they do we'll be sure to update this article.

The update is rolling out now, so if you're an Insiders in any of the Insider rings, you should be getting this update now.

Update: Here are the changes

  • Addressed issue that causes significantly reduced battery life on Windows Phone when using Bluetooth with "Hey Cortana" feature enabled.
  • Addressed issue that prevents users from completing the out-of-box experience (OOBE) with a local account using Korean characters.

  • Yay?
  • Nay!
  • Lol!
  • The best build ever! Runnig smooth, 2 times faster, on my lumia 830 than previous build! No bugs yet! Everything is in its place with no lagy responce! Great update! 10x Ms
  • Not on my 930. After taking few pictures using camera app, phone restarts itself. Any other third party app works fine.
  • Had this issue on my Lumia 1520.3 forever. Hopefully it's fixed on this build
  • Slow sd card, maybe?
  • 930 has no sd card slot.
  • Oh yeah, forgot about that. Hmm, frustratingly weird then, I imagine...
  • @BataBole I've been experiencing this issue for a very long time on the insider builds and it's still there even after this latest release. For me, my phone restarts once you try to view the picture you just shot from the camera app.
  • Does this build still have screen blinking issue on Lumia 830?
  • All this, and only ten years after the iPhone.
  • Got it on my Lumia 640XL I use for testing the build's.
My Lumia 950 is my daily driver non insider build's.
  • Downloading!
  • So fast, without changelog
  • checking now...
    Update: No go so far..
    Update#2: Insider was turned off
  • It's weird cause I'm out of the insider program now and this update is still installing.
  • Are you sure it's not .51? Cause that rolled out for non-insiders today.
  • I just had to do the same. Did the anniversary update turn off Insider?
  • Whoo hoo!!
  • COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
  • Installing already
  • Where's the anniversary update for.mobile
  • This probably is it, considering it is in Release Preview.
  • Which means you will see it a month after the original announced date
  • Or... Today?
  • Ummm...no, not today.
  • Finally! Time to hack my L820 yet again for this goodness!
  • Awesome! I'm so excited Asurion is replacing my L830 for a L950 for $62! I was going to get the 950 XL for $450 from the MS store but since I was still paying the insurance for my L830 I figured I try and get a replacement. Can't wait to set up the latest Release Preview build on it!
  • Congratulations on an amazing hardware and software upgrade!!!!
  • Thanks!  I'm running 14393.5 on my L830 now but have been getting bored with this phone and looking forward to using a 950 for a while. Now I really hope the AT&T DTTW firmware arrives soon!!
  • Is that $62 plus a deductible or straight $62? FKA!
  • No my deductible was only $62 since my L830 was a year and a half old. I should've cancelled the insurance a while ago but I kept forgetting about it. Total price = $62 for a certified like new 950!
  • I didnt know Asurion did reduced deductibles. That's cool. I've had to pay full price regardless of when the claim is made. I only have extended warranty now on my Lumia 929 though. I dropped it for the first time right on a corner and it just bounced and fell flat. Not a scratch. LOL. I will miss that with whatever phone I go to next.
  • Only on AT&T I think and this change started around summer 2015. So the longer you keep the phone the deductable is prorated. Makes sense.
  • And I'm on the road, sad face.
  • Be safe bro :)
  • I want flip to silence incoming calls lol
  • That's under touch in settings already!
  • Not on my 950 that I can find.
  • Me neither
  • Strange, I have it on my 535 :D
  • My 650 even has it. Trade for DDTW?
  • I have a L650 as well. Under which setting option is it available? Thanks in advance!
  • After checking, it is not there on my 650 with 14393.67. I could swear it was on 10586 build though. It appears on Extras > Touch on my 920 with 10586.494, along with DDTW (both above settings under Gestures heading) sensitive touch and navigation key vibration. My 650 is now only showing one Touch setting: navigation key vibration under the Touch heading. There is no Gestures setting. Funny since650 has motion sensors, 920 doesn't. Brain burn out from too many devices, insider versions and resets.
  • I miss gestures beta on my 1520. You could just put the phone to your ear when it was ringing to answer the phone! No button pressing needed. Some real James Bond **** right there.
  • How funny! This has been in lumia 525. It's there check out.
  • I want answer by placing phone to ear on incoming calls
  • THIS has been a good day...
  • And the anniversary update?!
  • It will come, relax!
  • Look out Zoolandeeerrrrrrr!!!! It's the soooonnnnngggggg!!!!
  • You should relax! Dona can give you a new update just with a changed number. would you like that or something nice?
  • Soon....
  • See above
  • The change log should make it obvious...
  • That's the Anniversary Update. We are testing it for you.
  • Windows central now a days have all the time to post some really annoying articles about WhatsApp and all that but don't have time to actually embed a new screenshot to their article.
  • Because they make money off those articles, updating a standard picture, really who cares.
  • Hopefully bugs squashed.
  • Download in progress :)
  • Do you recommend me to go insader on my dayli driver L930 I can't wait official AU?
  • YES!!!!!
  • Is it stable enough for dayli usage?
  • Yes. It's extremely stable. With it being only a few days/weeks before the official AU, it makes sense that it is. No idea why they've postponed the non-insider update.. As its EXTREMELY stable on all insider rings right now (I'm currently on fast ring). So yes, you can use the current builds, on even the fast ring, as your daily driver. However as Redstone2 builds are due to begin in a few weeks time, I'd recommend opting to fast ring, download and install the AU, the opt into Preview release ring or non-insider again, just so you don't get the RS2 builds in the future, which will start off buggy.
  • Extremely stable? With that BT bug? I'd say no.
  • BT Bug? What BT bug?
  • turning bluetooth on an off quickly (while connected) in the action center freezes the phone. But from what people are saying below , it should be fixed in .67
  • Ah right. I rarely use BT, but when I have I haven't noticed that (sometimes I'd accidently turn it on so I'd turn it off straight after with no issue). Maybe it didn't happen on some phones.. Or I'm just lucky.. Either way good to hear its hopefully fixed
  • Yup. now catching up on daily news. release notes said it was fixed on .51 update
  • Haven't use blue tooth in months... !! Didn't know about that.... LOL
  • I use it daily in my vehicle. Trust me. It's very annoying. Makes me want to throw the phone out the window
  • Same
  • Its not yet fixed on .5 build butvits ok cause i have a solution on that lol.
  • I'm aware it does not work in .5
  • Not sure if it's fixed in .67, because I haven't tried it yet. But on on .5, if I pressed the toggle, it seemed not to be working, but it did (it was turned off in settings). So you just had to wait a bit until the toggle also turns off, and not press it again, because it was what freezed the phone, at least on my 535.
  • There is no such bug. Finding bug is a state of your mind.
  • Err.. Yes there is. Microsoft acknowledged he bug earlier and detailed fixing the bug in .51 release notes..
  • It didn't lock up on me today.
  • I still have the BT issue on my 1520.3.
  • After updating to .67?
  • The recent builds are stable enough for daily usage
  • Highly recommended!
  • I have on my Icon, seems good so far .
  • Since it's a cumulative update, it also includes fixes that came with .10 and .51, but were not released for Mobile - most notably, for the Bluetooth quick toggle bug.
  • My thoughts exactly!
  • Jen Gentleman of MSFT also said so on our subreddit.
  • It *is* released for phones too.
  • You're misunderstanding what I wrote.
  • Really hope so. That BT bug drove me buts.
  • The BT bug is gone in this build. L830. The only other annoying bug that I need to check if it's resolved is the GPS issue.
  • Hahahaha, the second fix sounds like "When using the phone near the north pole, download of updates could be slower" :D :D
  • Installing
  • Wish the would fix the Wi-Fi connectivity issue. My 950 on AT&t drops WiFi regularly. Only way to get it back is to restart the phone
  • That's fixed in the recent firmware update. I guess you're stuck with AT&T to approve the release.
  • Not corrected at all, we are thousands to have always this issue. I hope on each update, month after month, and on each update the problem is here.
  • This was fixed in the firmware update. I have had 0 problems with wifi since the firmware update. So it did fix it. Not really sure what issue you are having
  • It is still broken in on my Icon/929. My coworker has a Verizon 735 running 8.1 and it works fine.
  • This version has quite some bugs. This are the only ones fixed?
  • You also have to look at the .10 and .51 change logs, those fixed some mobile issues too :)
  • A, ok. Thanks.
  • I hope this fixes the calendar tile not updating issue but with MS recent track record I'm not confident
  • I switched to Hope Calendar to get around that, but the Outlook Mail live tile still doesn't work.
  • Who needs an Anniversary Update for Mobile. Microsoft seems to have bypassed that build, by assuming all the few remaining Windows Phone users are now enthusiasts on Insider Previews.
  • No... The AU for non-insiders is said to be released soon, probably in the next week or so. This update we are recieving now via insider builds, will be a part of the AU update. (Remember this is not a RS2 build. Still just bug fixes for RS1)
  • Yes, I like that.
  • Hope all remaining bugs are crushed
  • Downloaded and installed, now to find out what has changed.Nokia930
  • It's now 00:33 AM where I am guys so goodnight all of you lol latest build download done and dusted!
  • Please let this build be the one that finally fixes fast drain on the 1520. Unfortunately, the list of fixes doesn't make it likely.
  • This is the best build till date as till last build i had to connect my charger 24*7 no w its more than 17 hrs on 1520 and battery shows 97% battery really i want this pls try
  • The gears are turning!!!
  • So it doesn't contain the update where we can edit info's in groove music or does it ? For slow ring users..
  • That's groove music and only for mp3s on the device.
  • This update killed flashlight toggle on Mobile and it can't be activated through Notications & Actions. Who else is having this issue?
  • Works fine for me after update
  • I did a soft reset and I get it back! Thanks!
  • My flashlight works. ATT Lumia 950.
  • Its working
  • "newer than the one public got today" which one??
  • This build is great
  • Is there any difference now between Fast, Slow, and RP rinds? all have same build number!!!
  • No
  • not at this level of development, however Fast will soon go to RS2 and be buggy as hell, slow will follow soon and will be RS2 but less buggy and RP will stay on RS1 until nearer the release date of RS2
  • Still mail &calendar tile not working
  • YES!!! Finally, Bluetooth disconnects from action center without freezing the phone...HUGE ☺
  • The action center bug was annoying but what I really want is the bluetooth integration with my car fixed. The 4 or 5 releases have been horrible. People I call can't hear me or say I sound like a robot. Cortana telling me I have a text only works about half the time, the rest of the time it doesn't say anything or it asks me if I want to reply and then can't hear anything I say.
  • This build works perfectly in my car unlike other builds, but I wish maps voice works with my car. It does work with my earpiece, but definitely not good enough.
  • Battery life is superb on my Lumia 640XL, after update its only 10%/hour discharging rate for youtube streaming in 2 hours, for me its way way better than all of previous build
  • Not fix on my Lumia 1520.3. In fact it's regressed again
  • Try a soft reset.
  • Even production?
  • Looking forward to it on my 640xl too... Already goes more than a day with ease on a full charge
  • Best battery life on 640 XL was 8.1 battery life. Hope they beat that in future builds. Now its not at par though. Still room to improve.
  • On my Lumia Icon, I am experiencing better than 8.1 Battery life.
  • Cant they just give the major update ive been waiting for that.....
  • Soon in Windows 11!
  • Gadgets app still not functioning
  • Build definitely feels better from my brief testing on my 950. They are defiantly making improvements.
  • I think you mean definitely, but I love defiantly. It seems to fit the whole Windows Mobile experience. :)
  • Downloaded and updated. All running smoothly so far.
  • Anyone have an issue where the phone app doesn't open?
  • Avilale in india
  • wen in India
  • -___- its available already for insiders anywhere on earth
  • Wen on moon?
  • 30th February
  • Ha! Mars gets it January 11th :)
  • Anyone know how to get Outlook Live Tile working? It didn't work and then got fixed but last two builds, it is iffy on PC and DOA on Mobile. I have tried resetting, deleting account, linking inboxes, every trick I can think of.
  • Facing same issue, but i think other insiders have no time to upvote
  • Double Tap firmware for Lumia 950 on AT&T when???
  • Firmware on unlocked 950XL in UK when? ;)
  • You should ask AT&T that. Or better yet just don't buy an AT&T branded phone
  • Finally, :D
  • I was have problem on Groove which not updating the mp3 downloaded from whatsapp, but in this build it is fixed, so happy
  • BT good to go!!
  • Nice.
  • BT good to go.
  • Lol atlast the BT is fix!!!!
  • No freezing but the toggle is slow to enable and disable.
  • I agree especially when connected to BT headset.
  • Haven't seen any lag at all on this build with my 950. They keep this up I may have to throw the sim back in for a run. Get Wells on wallet and we would really have something here.
  • Agreed!
  • So they did not fix the issue of the build not being functional on the BLU Win JR LTE. Great!!!
  • Ok. My w.central crashed only once while reading these comments...
  • Internet explorer crash has been solved in thus build ^_^
  • No IE to be found on W10M
  • Hahaha it seems like some are just used to having problems they are now creating some nonsensical glitches about their phone everything seems smooth right now your phone is the problem not the OS
  • Then, it's happening again. Windows Central apps begin to randomly forced close after the update.
  • No the app was crashing like hell even before update for me
  • How I will update this in Lumia 535.plz give the info or link...
  • Well, it somehow broke pinning websites from Edge. I pinned this website and Facebook. After a few seconds, both tiles disappeared.  Now nothing happens when I try to pin them again. This sucks.
  • Edge is the weak sister in Windows 10 PC and Mobile. Much work needs to focus there.
  • So no 10586.545??
Sent from L720 running w10 via insider.
Now u know why have I asked this.
  • Threshold builds are buggy.. Better switch to fast ring
  • L720 is a 512MB device. Which means that i can only get 10586 builds.. .545 could probably have been the last one..
  • works same as build 14393.5 , seeing no difference in performance.
  • What kind of change do you wanted to see because Bluetooth toggle bugs and others are fixed
  • It works smoothly on 100% tile transparency and only tile background picture
  • Waiting for my 650 to download
