The Xbox One media app library has increased again as Microsoft has added Starz Play to the mix, allowing subscribers of the Starz pay cable TV network access to its library of movies and original TV shows on demand.
Assuming your cable TV provider supports Starz Play, people who had paid for the channel can access the app to watch movies from the Disney and Sony movie library, including recent films like Thor: The Dark World and Frozen. Starz also has a few original TV shows including the pirate drama Black Sails, the urban crime show Power and the new romantic time travel themed series Outlander. In fact, users can watch the first episode of that series via the Starz Play app right now ahead of the show's official debut on Saturday.
As with other media apps on the Xbox One, Starz Play supports the Kinect sensor for controling some of its features and there are also some media achievments to unlock as well. What do you think of Starz Play joining the Xbox One media app lineup?
