New Windows Phone 8.1.1 build 14203 available to download

There looks to be a new update out on Windows Phone 8.1 for those in the Preview for Developers program. Yesterday's update to Battery Saver hinted at a new build (14203) for Windows Phone coming soon. It would appear that particular build is now rolling out. Time to check your phone for updates.

This new build is notable for enabling a 'real-time Live tile' for the Battery Saver app on Windows Phone 8.1. It also allows you to add Battery Saver to the Quick Settings found in the Action and Notification Center.

To check your phone right now for an update go to settings -> phone update -> check for updates. If you're enrolled in the Preview for Developers program, you should see an update. Look for the 8.10.14203.306 update to be available after checking.

We're still installing right now, but do let us know if you find anything else different in this build for Windows Phone.

Update: Below is what the improvements to Battery Saver look like. You get a real-time Live tile if you pin the app to your Start screen and you can now add it to your Quick Settings.

Battery Saver

Thanks for the heads up Mark T!

  • Awesome. I'm doing it!
  • How about adding data toggle to the action bar? It can't be that hard to do and it had over 30,000 votes on userVoice
  • Oh I know right..
  • I believe it's coming with GDR2.
  • soon®
  • How about also improving the horrible performance of this build of IE. The older versions worked so much better in so many ways. Continuously switching between IE, Opera and Surfy to find one that works on each website is starting to get old.
  • Agreed. While spoofing Safari has made more sites work (espn.com for one) it does cause some issues. Not the least of which is the gigantic font we get now. Seriously, my phone has a 1080x1920 screen and it is reported to sites as 344x612.
  • Not just ESPN. PCMag SecurityWatch doesn't switch to the desktop site despite the settings being set to desktop in IE, and its mobile version has a few elements that are unclickable. The slideshows on WebMD's mobile site is also rendering weirdly too.
The previous IE is definitely better. Hope Microsoft doesn't use Compatibility Lists to solve these problems like it did for the desktop version of IE.
  • I thought it was spoofing the Android browser, I get so many request by sites to download the Android app version of twitter and pinterest whenever I hit a link to one of those.
  • It is sometimes Safari, sometimes the Android browser. I would prefer they switch to a native WebKit browser. IE is good and very smooth but too many sites don't support or treat it like it's running on Windows Mobile.
  • Yes but then you have a webkit monopoly... And we all remember how IE6 turned out...
  • Actually the current version of IE is reporting as ALL browsers, and MS have added support for vendor-prefixed CSS.for things that sites do not thing that MS support now. It's a mixed blessing here is the useragent string that IE 11 mobile sends: Mozilla/5.0+(Mobile;+Windows+Phone+8.1;+Android+4.0;+ARM;+Trident/7.0;+Touch;+rv:11.0;+IEMobile/11.0;+NOKIA;+Lumia+625)+like+iPhone+OS+7_0_3+Mac+OS+X+AppleWebKit/537+(KHTML,+like+Gecko)+Mobile+Safari/537
  • It's funny you mention that. I was on Grubhub's site last night and the site showed a suggestion for getting both the iPhone app AND the Android app. That was the first time I saw that so your clarification makes perfect sense!
  • Interesting to see that complex ua string. I totally agree about the mixed blessing bit. It would be nice if things were more consistent.
  • After using 8.1.1 for a while now, I have seen improvements to IE. The OS is also more responsive and with less lag. It's now much less glitchy on my Lumia 810.
  • Yes. That is very frustrating. I looks like an Android browser to me now.
  • For me IE works well... Apart for YouTube where my phone sometimes crashes while watching a video.
  • I face it many times :( the update 1 didn't fix this issue?
  • +1 here
  • Use UC Browser its best
  • Right... SMH... But that's more politics than anything.. MS has to keep carriers happy, and the last thing carriers want is a quick toggle in the action center to turn data off... Didn't you see JB's face when he was asked about it❓.. He looked side to side and said "ummm we're working on it" as if it was something bad..
    .............
We must understand that some features require talks between MS, and its partners.. It's not about how easy, or hard it is engineer, because it's just a stupid extension,, rather more politics are involved..
  • That's a great and wise perspective.
  • He's so great
  • Guess who else thinks that❓❓
  • Your mom
  • Lol. That's exactly what I knew your reply would be, but to your surprise it's actually your mom ❕❕❕❕❕ Can you believe it??
  • So why some Androids have this toggle in their notification centers??
  • Because they already did the talk?

  • and because they dont desperately need the carrier to carry their phone like microsoft does?
  • Could it be that Google has more leverage?... IDK.. It's just a theory, but it has to hold some water... Nevertheless, MS needs to start flexing its muscles, and quit being so passive.
  • That may be true, but you also have to keep the customers happy. Android has a quick toggle for data and maybe they just have the strongarm to not care if the carriers want it, but people like me who are used to Android (but would love to stick with WP) like options.  It's just like how some big businesses spend so much time trying to please the stock holders that they forget that the customers are the ones driving business. If you aren't going to give me what I want, then I'll find what I want somewhere else.  As much as I love Microsoft, I can't be a diehard WP fan when they act like it's side project sometimes. I won't invest that much into a future Zune. Yes, I know WP isn't dying, but history has shown that they kill things off when it's not doing how they want. I'm pretty sure 3-5% marketshare isn't what they want.
  • Thats so wrong. Android does have a Data Toggle heck even the iPhone has it. Why the actual fuck should carriers be the reason that WP hasn't this feature implemented? Its Microsofts fault, simply because they have not thought about that.
  • You're saying MS hasn't thought about adding a data toggle❓ Are you serious❓
  • So carriers are biased against MS?  Why Android and iOS has it?
  • Well, in a magical way though, this does not work for Android and IOS. There is a shortcut, so what is the conclusion? WP is still behind with lack of features. This shortcut is another reason for some people to laugh at as when seing a lumia or ATIV or 8x etc WP phone.
  • Or how about adding ability to - gasp - select multiple vidoes in the camera roll. That would be just revolutionary! One truly wonders sometiems what the priorities are - is having the batter percentage on the home screen at all times really so important? :) ps. Not to mention my Video app still refuses to show my camera reel videos..
  • It can do that now, there's an update available for Xbox Video
  • Yes I know its supposed to, but it is not working in my case. I have updated the app, turned the phone on and off a few times, waited, prayed to all kinds imaginary figures etc, and still nothing. I guess I will put that into the same category of irritating bugs as say live tiles all of sudden stopping to update. :)
  • Well, 6tag is one of them. and also, almost every time i get a new update, it puts back ads. I must have paid for 6tag 5 times!!!
  • Personally, I need music controls in the action centre, just like iDroid has... There's a reason why iDroid has it, and it's obvious..
  • The ones you get when you hit the volume up/down button are not to your liking?
  • No!
  • I was shocked to find out the note 4 doesn't have this option. I thought it was only Windows phone doing something this stupid but samsung is also doing this. Posted via the Windows Phone Central App for Android
  • Wow really?
  • The problem is Microsoft seems to have a bunch of antisocial nerds who, have no idea what's going on outside so they don't do what people expects..
  • They know what's going on.... That's what's mind boggling about it.
  • +1 1020
  • Once again. Politics... Verizon stripped tethering from my friends Droid Maxx after the Kit Kat update... It's all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  • I would say stop comparing WP to other platforms. If you are not satisfied, simply make the switch. WP is what is live with it or select a platform that suits your needs. Its always Android this, iPhone this. Is BlackBerry, FireFox, SailFish, Tizen, Ubuntu  all out of the picture. Every platform has there vision and make them different from the rest. I love my L930 and wouldn't switch for anything, unless MSFT plans the kill the whole platform. Pfffffff :P
  • Sorry i accidentally reported your comment. Did not mean to........ahhhhhhh!!
Well, we talking about stupid lack of features, nothing else.
  • Yes that will be god to have in Action center. I would also like to have the "Fligth mode" buttom to toggle :) How many use the flight mode every week ? No let that buttom be "Profile mode"  = Normal, Silent, Flight, extra High mode.
  • I actually have mobile data toggle in action centre on my lumia 735! im on preview for developers and in the UK! Don't worry, I've tipped wcentral and the phone update should (hopefully) come soon! :)
  • Offtopic question but someone can please let me know how to download update with mobile data. My download is stuck at 0%. Would really appreciate. Thanks in advance :).
  • okey... the new update in what reigon
  • Awesome!
  • The percentage of battery on the live tile is fuzzy compared to other icons on my 930, what's up with that? (IceDree your comment was topicless anyway so I hope you don't mind me hijacking it :P)
  • Same here. Even the icon is blurred. Waiting for the next "OS update" to fix it.
  • it¨'s clear as a bell on my 930
  • Just sent you guys a tip. Installing now!
  • Let us know if you all notice anything else in this build beside the improvements to Battery Saver.
  • Hopefully they didnt release an OS update just to enable a live tile.
  • Especially if it's marked as critical! Lol
  • Ima be kind of pissed off if they did lol I LOVE OS updates and even little things such as this, but there better be more little things as well dammit -___- I don't even have battery saver pinned lol
  • I do believe a lot of minuscale internal bug fixes are shipped with these builds but not talked about.
  • Ay ay sir!
  • NTP time confirmed as working for this release. Automatic time setting finally works for carriers without the NITZ protocol...
  • Any proof you have...? Too many IT-illiterate people spread BS on the internet, so its difficult to believe anything, just because some random nobody says so. Dont take it personal, but this NTP stuff was told by lot of illiterates guys in the past it was fixed, still it wasnt the case, thats the source of my strong doubt.
  • The proof came from Microsoft directly and the fact I've verified this on my own phone which was affected by this issue before this update. I'm a Windows Phone MVP, so hardly IT illiterate thanks very much.
  • LOL, as I said dont take it personally :) I am interested in the info you revealed, as I yet to see any damn announcement from their official blog (stupid Twitter messages from JB are not official thing, come on, this is a multinational company, not a bunch of trendy startup idiots)
  • See Greg's post here. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/winphone/forum/wp8-wppersonal/ntp-in-windows-phone-81/991bf744-e517-4f5a-a526-1935f6754ffe#LastReply
  • Greatly appreciate your feedback! Such informative posts move things forward, not the "seems faster" ones!
  • I concur... Works in Taiwan now on 1520 cheers
  • You can choose the preferred time to download phone updates now.
  • Preferred time to automatically install updates in phone update
  • Hi, added: 1-Preferred istall time - Settings > Phone Update - Pic 2-More detail in extras+info - pic
  • Good to know, thanks for the pics!
  • umm that picture has 5 quick access links, my 930 only has 4 is there a setting for this or have i missed something. I have just updated...
  • The fifth toggle only for large screen phones such as the L1520 and L1320
  • after getting this update, when ever i unlock my mobile screen....i m getting RESUMING ISSUE for a while and then it takes too long to unlock the screen. what to do to fix this issue ?
  • after the update, STORE does not showing the option to install application from SD card ( ie: install local apps ), I used to download apps via my PC, and that feature was too useful :(

  • They added 4G option for Lumia 920 in Lebanon, India and many countries
  • Never mind:D
  • Wonderful
  • Cool, but still no data in action center right?
  • no :(
  • At this point, that is the one thing I care about most.
And it would take them probably three lines of code to implement.
  • As someone else here mentioned, it seems really likely that carriers might be a road block. After all, more data usage on their network = more money for them when people accidentally go over. It's really simple to implement, sure. But then again: Cyan has been available for months, and that hasn't stopped Verizon from holding it up.
  • What else does this bring?
  • It brings nothing more. Whole OS updated just because of live tile.
  • since it was "critical" they could have slipped a security patch in there
  • Geez you guys are quick, I was just about to send in a tip. Getting the update on my One now.
  • cool, you got the One? :) How is it?
  • Loving it! But can't decide if I want to use DP OS or stay stock?
  • sounds great :) I'd go with the Developer Preview version - you get all the updates a lot earlier (and don't have to wait for the carrier)!
  • Downloading....
  • This update also fixes the NTP issue for those carriers that don't support NITZ. In other words, if your date/time doesn't update automatically, it will now.
  • Great! It never auto-updated for me... :/
  • Me either!
  • about time....
  • Ha Ha!
  • Yup I realized it !
  • Excellent! I remember they supposedly added this with Update 1, but it literally /never/ worked on any devices I was using as Wi-Fi only. So frustrating: If I turned off one of those devices for so much as 5 minutes (or removed the battery, god forbid), the time would be all out of whack, and I'd always have to manually reset it. Glad they finally got it to work properly.
  • Microsoft enabled this option through a carrier customization option, but defaulted the setting to "off".  It seems that carriers either misunderstood or didn't set the option, leaving us with no change in functionality (I read the documentation for that setting and it made no logical sense to me either). With this update, Microsoft listened to our concerns and flipped the default to "on".
  • Ahh makes sense. Thanks for the detailed info!
  • They should rename Preview for Developers to what it really is. "Bypass the carriers update channel".
  • I'm pretty sure it's mostly called "Preview for Developers" for political reasons. It was originally announced as an enthusiast program when WP8 was unveiled.
  • It doesn't bypass the carriers completely, as I have 8.1 but no Cyan in sight for my icon.
  • Same. Its not really what you think it is. The average consumer shouldn't mess with this as the updates are not complete for some phones.
    See: Lumia 810
  • It bypasses the carriers for OS updates, not for firmware updates.
  • If you have an Icon on Verizon, pleas join the fight and tweet a complain to @verizonwireless we all have been doing it and retweeting each other. At the very least it will piss them off as much as they are pissing us off!
  • Good job but they will ignore it as its some bug they are facing which does not allow the user to properly use 3G and 4G that's why they are delaying
  • Squeaky wheel hopes. I don't think it can hurt... Join in !
  • Cyan is firmware, not OS.
  • Fingers crossed that, now that Microsoft controls the Lumia line (therefore the Lumia-specific firmware), the next firmware version (For WP 8.1 Update 2, that will start with and 'E') will also be available on the Preview for Developers channel. Sure, this leaves out HTC, Samsung, BLU and other WP devices, but since 90%+ of WP devices are Lumia: The majority will be happy. :)
  • I think we've been spoiled by Nokia with all their firmware updates. Definitely wasn't the norm before with other OEMs. Don't get me wrong. I remember receiving one or two firmware updates on my HTC 8X, but nothing to the frequency of Nokias Lumia line.
  • It's only named 'preview' so they don't have to pay if sth like bitlocker issue happens
  • When will I get this for my Lumia 630 with cyan
  • Since this is an update for the Developer's Preview you can get it now.
  • Thank you for caring us so nicely...
  • On settings/phone update, we can now choose an hour to make the download
  • That's really nifty, nice catch.
  • Please give data connection in action center too....
  • I'll see what I can do.
  • Lol
  • +infinity
  • We ask for something and we get something else. Doesn't make sense.
  • It's almost like Microsoft has users other than us!  :-)
  • They do; ios and Android
  • We need a feedback app, like for Win10 preview, so we can see how many people requested this, like a petition and ask why the heck is not implemented as yet...
  • Yes!!! Nokia Lumia 1520 pic
  • Nice pik
  • thanks
  • Your welcome
  • Awesome!
  • Can anyone help me regarding this:
I have Nokia Lumia 720 with cyan and (not with app folder on live tile start screen). So here I want to know which version of OS is it which has app folder in start screen and will it cause problem of OS bug like that BIT LOCKER problem( which is why I have again not downloaded the app folder version via preview for developers so it wont cause any OS bug).
    Thank you in advance.
  • The bit locker problem was only for devices which ran the 8.1 preview, you're not gonna have any problem after updating to .1.1 or to this
  • So u mean the ones who had BLACK and WP 8.1.1 will have not CYAN with wp8.1 ?
  • Just sign up for Dev Preview and stop thinking so hard :).
  • I don't really understand what you're asking, but the latest version of Preview for Developers is called Windows Phone 8.1 Update (colloquially knows as WP 8.1.1), and this is the one that has Start screen folders for apps. The folder functionality is NOT dependent on firmware. The issue with upgrading to carrier-distributed versions from the Preview have been fixed, supposedly.
  • Well the only reason is bugs I had so many in my phone that even Microsoft asked me if I could send them my phone for OS investigation so that's what concerns me. I font want anymore bugs
  • You might want to have Microsoft check out your keyboard while they have it.
  • Lol
  • Lol, @VisaDeclined, if they are willing to take your phone for testing, ask for a loaner (do they do that?) and do just that, seems like a good opportunity to help with further development :-)
  • Guess who has a new Nokia Lumia 720 from Microsoft with in built CYAN inside. That's the reason I am hesitating to download the update again. It might cause problems so am afraid.
  • The Preview for Developers does NOT update your firmware. You will have Cyan no matter what.
  • Whoever sets it should report on what they notice!
  • I hope it has more to offer.
  • So no Update 2 for at least 3 more weeks...
  • Maybe on 19-11
  • Stop being optimistic.
  • Downloading now on my Icon.
  • Please please please let this fix the resuming, and other annoying issues..
  • The last critical update fixed all OS lag for my 1020. No hard reset.
  • Ok
  • Not for my 1020. Did you hard reset?
  • Yeah, the last one did make it a whole lot smother, but it brought with it it's own set of issues.. This is THE worst WP experience I've ever had... I have to press the home button a thousand times to get back to the start screen.. SMH... But, that's the price to pay for being a beta tester.
  • umm.. you could just.. press the start button..
  • Home button, start button, same thing...
  • It's not a beta...it's a preview...these same builds are released to carriers as well.
  • How are these builds released to the carriers? This is WP8.1.1.3... It's the 1.3 that we are practically beta testing for MS by participating in the DP... Im sorry, but as long as there are patches before the official WP GDR1 update is released this is not final software..
  • You know besides the Dev Preview installs, I think some nokia phones just come with issues to be honest. I went thru 3 lumia 925's before I got the 'perfect' one. My previous ones had light dimming issues, sensitive screen taps, scrolling turned to taps, speaker issues, and one had a very very subtle vibrate engine. but I've had the last one for 6 months now and its perfect, its been thru a couple Dev preview builds without cyan and then when tmobile released cyan it got even better after a couple soft resets and now its smooth as pears...
  • Uh... and I though this was an issue with L925 because it heats up so easily....
  • You'll need to wait for Windows 10, WP8 is basically dead.
  • WP8 is "dead" because we are on WP8.1
  • Doesn't matter, 8.0, 8.1, 8.1 Update (1, 2, X), whatever. It's dead.
  • lol please tell me how you are coming to that conclusion?
  • Do you see a brand new fancy schmancy music app coming out for WP 8.1? Office apps? Skype? Let me tell you the answer: No. They're working on universal apps for Windows 10.
  • I agree 100% on the music and video apps. I believe they will release brand new ones for 10. But to say wp8 is dead is over the top. Cuz windows 10 IS a windows 8 update. This isn't a kernel change like we saw with wp7 to 8. As a matter of fact the Windows NT kernel is literally just jumping .1 version from NT 6.3 in windows 8.1 to NT 6.4 in windows 10. So all apps on the store now will work with 10. Now they could place restrictions on NEW apps once windows 10 is out, which i think its what you're implying.
  • 10 is build on 8 so I see the WP 10 as a continuation of WP 8.1
  • WP10 will be more Windows RT (edit: minus desktop, of course) than WP.
  • I'm not sure about saying WP 8.1 dead, phase out process will eventually occur, similar to WP7, but unless MS and carriers push a mandatory update (this will never happen) for devices on WP8 /8.1 , that will still be in the market for a couple more years at least, WP8 will not be dead. Plus, though I suspect a great adoption rate for Win10 mobile, it will not be for everyone... So wp 8 services will still have a small market
  • "WP8 is basically dead." You are clearly suffering from amnesia.
  • I'm hoping for the same thing....
  • Downloading now. Lumia 925 UK.
  • downloading!
  • Marked as critical for anyone else?
  • Yep, it was marked as critical.
  • Still waiting for GDR1 on the Lumia 1320 and 635! Anyone caught sight of it yet on these devices?...
  • It will be available with the Denim update
  • GDR1 was released officially on the 930 ahead of Denim (930s just received a Cyan update along the GDR1 roll out).   Don't know if it's a new scheme (OS/FW rolled out separetly) or not. We'll see ^^
  • If you are not on Dev Preview you will get GDR1 software with the corresponding lumia denim firmware.
  • why do some settings get icons but only in the quick setting list? Sometimes its HARD to find what i'm looking for in the full settings list!
  • Yeah the settings page is a mess lol I am hopeful that they will sort it out like in Windows 8. they did a great job with that settings page
  • should focus more in trying to help the phone battery last longer than this.........
  • On which phone? My Lumia 735 gets me 2 to 3 days battery life.
  • 920...2yrs old 735 is new, so of course battery still brand new,,,,,,
  • A 2 year old phone wasnt initially designed for 8.1 + you used it. Take a guess why battery performance is bad
  • battery performance on 920 was always notoriously bad, it has nothing to do with 8.1+ seeing how we were told that 920 is going to get W10 the hardware is still good for it
  • Does it solve the button lights off glitch? (I know I've been asking this almost everywhere)
  • What button lights off glitch?
  • Well the phones lower than 30's model have separate touch pad which sometimes dims it's light for no reason.
  • You mean the soft buttons that are part of the screen?
  • The percentage on the battery saver tile is a nice touch!!
  • Starting to really wish that the Quick Action buttons were scrollable sideways now... Windows 10, maybe ;)
  • Go to the WP suggestion page. And ask away.
  • This is not the build you are looking for
  • I wasn't looking for any build.
  • Well it used to be possible to turn off the home search etc button light when in battery saving mode but this stopped working since the device hub update
  • Ha. Love it!
  • I had Preview installed on my L520 but got a new 635. Tried to install it on that and it bricked it, had to get Nokia recovery software. Miss Cortana!
  • Currently installing on 1020, 620 and 930
  • Seems faster... I mean, the availability
  • Now you can set "preferred installation time" in phone update section. That is good.
  • And Facebook messenger app updated. Drawings and texting feature. Wow!
  • Yeah I just got that, not too far behind the other platforms dir that update.
  • Nice catch!
  • It is showing 4G also in highest connection speed. Though mine is 3G connection of Vodafone, India (Pune)
  • Awesome, doing loading now  920+
  • Why they don't make a statement when it's ready for the common man and not for the guy with the developers preview ? They should have a separate feed for them .
  • When it's ready for your phone, your phone will tell you. What else do you need to know?
  • It will tell you.  You just click on 'Install' and it will do the rest. I just noticed when I checked for another update after the upgrade that now there is a drop down for 'Preferred install time', which is cool.
  • Slack app?! Where, When :D i need it.
  • And no mobile data on the quick settings... is that so difficult?
  • Download 'cellular data' by Microsoft mobile available in US region and put it in lowest size and in top at your startscreen
  • I'm already using one app to it. The same one that I've used for WiFi until they added the option on Action Center. Just want to get rif off the tile. Also they could make the WiFi toggle work more like Android. Hold to setup. Tap to turn on/off.
  • Yea.. you think carriers like the idea of having a data toggle in the notification center?
  • Comment of the day.
  • I don't know what they want... I know what I want =p Anyway... one man can dream right?
  • :\
  • I hope it fixes the live tile for Windows phone store Windows 8x
  • Every time an update is completed, I have to uninstall and reinstall Files and Wikipedia because it keeps "installing." Anyone else has that problem? I have a L1520.
  • I had a bunch of apps in my list appear as "installing".  Just leave it a minute or so and the message goes away.  Probably part of the migration phase finalizing.
  • Me too.  But even after a couple of hours, just those two apps remain as "installing." Tested this last update to confirm it and it does.
  • About 20% of my apps are "installing..." after the update.
  • Wait. It's the universal mantra for WP. :P
  • Waiting Patience... WP :)
  • Downloading...    Im assuming that other than the new battery saver stuff, that this only brings general bug fixes?
  • What is the size of update. Is it possible via cellular data
  • It's about 35 MB for my Lumia 720.
  • 29 Mb, possible via cellular data
  • Daft question maybe, but how do you get 5 settings in the action centre? Is it only on certain size screens? (Lumia 930 user).
  • screens bigger 5" do have 5 quick-setting tiles in the notofication center
  • Yes, only on the 1520. I thought it was on the 1320 as well, but seems like that has only 4 shortcuts as well (due to lower resolution, I assume)? EDIT: seems like 1320 has it as well. So the 1520 and 1320 both have 5.
  • its only available to the 1520 and 1320 (in other word,s its probably limited to 5.5 - 6" phones)
  • Thanks for the clarification here...only 4 quick-setting tiles in the notification center on L-920...
  • I've just downloaded it. Lumia 1020 - Spain(no specific operator.   Regards
  • Maybe it fixes the flaws found earlier on ;)
  • Can anyone help me out? I have a 1520.3 on At&t and I don't have the update 1. I would love the folder option. Do I need to download the developer preview to get that option?
  • Yep.
  • Thank you much!
  • Seems faster!
  • My L925 feels a little bit snappier too....or maybe it's just placebo. Don't care as long as it works. I noticed that my phone got really hot during the update.
  • Upgrade = reboot = few hours of smoother feeling
  • after most OS re-installs the system is pretty much cleaned up, file system bits are cleaned up, paths are repaired, many things go back to factory restoration. That is why it is AFTER your phone has booted up that you see it restores the backed up data it stored during "prepping install" therefor the phone IS running snappier. It does wear off after usage unless real optimizations were done, that's a different story :)
  • This is true, and while it does seem snappier after the update, the live tiles on my start screen also seem more mmmm LIVE!
  • That's typically not how OS updates work. Attempts might be made to keep updates clean and efficient but existing systems are complex and unpredictable that it isn't really feasible. There's no practical way of knowing if a random registry entry, preference or file are junk to be deleted or connected to something vital. Updates are generally focused on improvements not cleaning house. If an OS update results in better performance, which I've found to be incredibly rare, it's because of optimizations in the code, not because the update has gone in and cleaned up an existing install. In the case of Windows Phone better performance is more likely the result of a restart than anything else. The fact is that OS updates almost always result poorer preformance and added bloat. There's a reason why people recommend clean installs.
  • It showed a "%" on my smallest tile then it disappeared. It works again.
  • Ugh, MS! Why leave us in the cold? This update made the battery life on my wife's iPhone better, and I hear it's the same for Android. Support WP first! And the iOS/Android versions have prettier animations. /humor
  • ????
  • What?!
  • Good one!
  • Dafuq??
  • Yes, I hate it when Microsoft releases Windows Phone 8.1 OS updates for iOS and Android first. :-) Did you comment on the wrong article?
  • No, but having spent the first part of the day reading gripes about MS apps being better on iOS/Android, and while stuck in a long meeting, I decided to amuse myself with an eyeroll comment. :)
  • Got on good 920.
  • I have lumia 730. Can i update to preview for developers build? Will the dual sim functionality still work?
  • Hasn't Lumia 730 Denim?
  • Yes it has. And may be i dont need to update. But in future. Can i install preview for developers build on a dual sim phone?
  • Yes you can. I've been using Preview for Developer updates on dual SIM Lumia 630 and everything works well. Also it is incorrect to say that phones with Denim don't need Preview for Developers. I have had 3 updates (including this one) on my Lumia 830 which had Denim preinstalled.
  • Yes , Sir ;)
  • Ya'll have Denim already??
  • It comes with the newer Lumias
  • Oh ok cool.. Is the camera faster like they said it would be?
  • Yes! They fixed time zone for Russia!
  • 822, cannot even download, 800704e7
  • I feel sorry for you bro.
  • I wish flashlight was an option to toggle.
  • Updated on a ATT 1520. Tiles have a second of lag when going back to home screen. Age of empires is now jittery as well. I rebooted once after the update installed and same result.
  • Wait until apps reinstallation finish.
  • Enough with the "installing now" and "downloading now" posts! Post something intelligent like what new features you see!
  • Haven't seen much.
  • Installing now.
  • As Elvis used to say Thank you thank you very much. Lol
  • omg I SO agree!!

  • Downloading later...
  • Really hope it fixes the random screen freezes.
  • The screen doesn't dim on my Lumia Icon now when under 20% battery. Very annoying, hurts battery life.
  • The damn navigation buttons don't turn off now either...which hurts battery life AND my eyes. So annoyed that I can't use my 920 in the dark now. Prior to this update I used the Battery Saver in 'always on' mode to turn off the navigation lights so I could read books or watch videos in the dark. This is really annoying.
  • an update just for the battery app??? is that it? are they taking the p&&%%&ss on us? wtf...
  • There's something critically important about the battery rather than data toggle.
  • I highly doubt it was just for the battery app.
  • Also probably contains a fix forr Verizon users.
  • You can now set time for Windows phone updates to install.
  • Yep that's a newy. Preferred installation time in phone update.
  • Nice update. But where is Denim?!?
  • This! ^^
  • Did this build fix wifi and Bluetooth on the Lumia 1020 after cyan? I can't use my Microsoft band and I'm sorry close to returning it
  • Sorry no such issues with my 1020
  • My FitBit Flex is always saying background sync has failed. I have to stop and start Bluetooth to get it to work, then it syncs, but I have toil restart before every sync. Annoying.
  • Im getting error 800706d9 still from the last critical update. Once again my 1520 wont update. Now my start screen background wont load up, I can't send pics or attachments in my text messages and can't OPEN pics people send to me. Sick of this!!
  • Why is this being called a 'critical update'? I don't remember the words being used in the earlier updates.
  • Last one was also critical. I think they do it cause whether you want it or not it will install automatically after some time (3 days or so), Regular updates wait for your consent.
  • I think this may have cured my resuming scenes.....
  • Seems smoother
  • Updates have a prefered installation time now that can be selected in the update dialog
  • Good find.
  • In other news, I did a 17-minute run while it rolled out
  • NTP works, very cool. Finally!
  • It worked for me on the last update. It never did before though here in Ireland
  • Phone is now red hot and losing battery even when plugged into a 1.4A charger. Rebooting L920.
  • Is this the Demin upgrade everyone is talking about? If so is it still not available to every Nokia Lumia user? Lumia 1520
  • No.
  • The earphone remote still doesn't work!!!!
  • When is the denim upgrade available for Lumia 1520? I was told Nov. I'm getting impatient.
  • I heard December Posted via the Windows Phone Central App for Android
  • Your not the only one waiting for throat update. I want that update like yesterday to start recording in 4K with an improved camera.
  • My phone is STILL showing error 800706d9 on 1520. Freakin hate this $#%t. And I can't find what it means ANYWHERE ON THE NET!!! DAMMIT MICROSOFT!!
  • About the section 'Phone Update': it allows you to set a 'Preferred Install Time'!
  • On Updates now there's an option to decide what hour do the update. In SIM settings now there are network settings, can't no more find the Nokia Network link in settings.
  • Was half expecting a Microsoft logo on reboot as well tbh...
  • Hi, added: 1-Preferred istall time - Settings > Phone Update - Pic 2-More detail in extras+info - pic
  • Does this update include a fix for the security bug that was recently found?
  • Haha....so, my battery saver live tile is 43% when it medium size, and 41% when it is resized to small!
Fortunately, I have no use for that tile anyway.
The battery saver brightness issue has yet to be fixed either. So all in all, not much of an update.
  • Downloading now, but I'll be sending away my current 1520 in a day. Sad face.
  • I did this update but I can't found any thing different :)
  • Should fully charge the battery level to complete the entire installation, btw I'm charging my Lumia :P
  • am sure some will love this update but it is easier to just swipe down and check battery level instead of a live tile and wasting one of the quick action slot.
  • Exactly what I said when I heard of this.  I don't need it on my live tile when it's in the action center.  I wish I could turn it off in Battery Saver
  • It's useful if you want to quickly cycle through the battery saved settings but yeah that's about it. The live tile with the % is nice though but so very redundent.
  • The point of the real-time live tile update is to begin rolling out that ability for all apps. I'm assuming this is just a first step in that direction to test the stability and functionality of real-time live tiles.
  • Maybe is accidental but now after soft reset the time was automatically corrected!!
  • On the feedback page, there's an option to save crash statistics for the apps you make so you can view them later on PC. Was this already there or it's new? It's the first time I see it since I dev unlocked my phone quite a while ago
  • I have it on 8.10.14192.280, which is just below the latest update.
  • Has there always been the ability to change what app is used when you switch from a phone call to a video call in phone settings?
  • Yes, but is the only one
  • How do you get 5 buttons on the action center?  Does that come with the new update or is it only for bigger phones??  I have the Lumia 925.
  • It's only for bigger phones, like the 1520
  • Awwww..... -925!
  • Only available on bigger screens like the 1520 and 1320, although I do think that 5-inch devices should support this, too.
  • Hopefully they can include it in a future update where the action center buttons scroll sideways. That's one thing I like from iPhone and android action center.
  • I've always thought that would be available from the beginning. Too bad Microsoft leaves these things out only for the sake of adding more features in future updates. The problem with those updates is that they always come later than sooner... Btw, I don't think the iPhone has this.
  • First thing to do once I get home from my trip tomorrow! I hope there's some performance improvements as well. I can't take the stuttering on my 925 anymore.
  • My 920 is incredibly smooth & zippy since the update. Wonderful!!
  • Great news!! I factory reset my phone a couple of days ago and the stutters improved a bit, but aren't gone yet. Let's see after the update.
  • Preferred time to install an update is new?
  • Yes!
  • Yes
  • Lol I make battery live tile small and it says a lower percentage than when I make it bigger. What the heck???
  • I don't think the live tile is necessary. With one swipe down you see the same in action center
  • Battery live tile now works. I thought there was something wrong yesterday with no percentage showing.
  • If you resize it does it also show different percentages??
  • You can now put yoour own ringtones at notifications emails apps
  • Thought this would fix my battery saver. It still does nothing when I try and open it. Cannot uninstall and in store it shows the context menu empty so I can't reinstall or update. Anyone else have the problem?
  • Change your Date/time to 2300 (year) and then opens Battery Saver. You will be able to uninstall it. Restart and after that take some link to the app and install it again.
  • I've also got problems on my 925 with battery saver after updating to 14203. Even after a phone reboot the saver app crashes back to the startscreen. I hope the battery drain reduces after a day or so since it's increased now. At least this update hasn't trashed the wifi calling feature on my phone yet. I'm good unless wifi calling quits like it did on the last preview update.
  • I've got it
  • In phone update: Time update by houres....
  • Fix Xbox video!
  • Okay, believe it or not. This fixed the "resuming..."-issue I used to have all the time. Apps reopen much faster without the superfluous "resuming". I only believe myself if it stays this way for a few days, but I've never had this after an update.
  • Battery drain seems to have increased. I could be wrong.
  • Increased here. This is why I puzzled what phone is in picture from MS that has 90% after 19 hours used.
  • Oops, when I turned on battery saver in notification center, battery jumped;
  • For percentage problems....soft reset is the solution
  • Did you all see the new option in 'phone update'?  There is a 'Preferred install time' drop down box.
  • Added "Quiet Hours" to quick actions. Much wanted :) so many times I want to activate it just temporarily while people are annoying me. That's all I've seen. Aside from updates having a time setting.
  • :o no way! Awesome.
  • Yea! Its awesome because even if you just turn it on coz ur going to bed earlier it'll still turn off in the AM depending on the time you set. Another thing is Battery Saver has a switch to turn on "Battery Saver" which means once you plug in the charger it will continue to use the settings you chose. Before we only had the three bubble selections. Two very important features for me.
  • It was already there before this update hehe
  • Hmmm... Maybe. Maybe its battery saver that was missing
  • Quiet Hours has been in the notification options for a couple of months now. This update didn't add it...
  • Thanks. No more confirmations are necessary.
  • I always get the 8.1 transition back after an update. But sometimes later they gone.
  • Got the update but can't see the live tile for battery saver... :-S
  • Restart your phone
  • Thanks... Got it now. I spoke too soon, lol
  • Check if you have the same bugs
  • So another addition is when there's an app update, clicking on the notification takes you directly to "history" in the store now. :D
  • Why didn't they put battery saver on the lock screen !? *sigh*
  • Lol, spoke too soon. Yep yep, the battery saver has a neat live tile... :-)
  • Light doesn't shut down in battery saver....
  • After updating, that battery saver is not quite accurate to me. http://1drv.ms/1sK5x9G
  • Same here!
  • And the percentage of the battery from normal size tile is different from small size tile
  • Same here!
  • Even after soft reset?
  • Same here
  • Did this break Tetra Lockscreen for anyone else?
  • No, just wait the re-installing thing, and restart.
  • Glad to hear this fixes the date and time problems. Anytime I reset the phone recently the time and date where always wrong. It was only turning WiFi off and going from 4g to 3g got the time and date back automatically.
I'm guessing the real reason for this was a critical update and they managed to add in this live tile and phone update at the same time.
  • Wow, the comments here. Calling engineers and developers "nerds" and knocking the development cycle. My lord, we were all on 8.0 less than 12 months ago. And now, if you are complaining about this update, it means you, like me, are sporting the Developer Preview. Of course, that means millions of people who are sleeping very well tonight, oblivious to the strum and drang that is keeping you awake. Yes. I am POd about Xbox Music. I'm concerned that Denim has not come to my very recent phone while others are shipping with it. But enough of the name calling and childish, churlish comments. I do wish we had a definitive list of the changes or additions to this update. That would calm a few nerves. But frankly, with unlimited date an my phone I could just as easily be one of those saying "I don't care." Enough also with the "I wish I could stay with WP, but the phones that have a few additional features because they are a couple years ahead on the development curve are calling out to me." Fine. Do it. I would venture a guess that almost all of us have had some experience, good or bad with Android or iOS. As slick as the flexible, bendable iPhone 6 looks and how many more features it has, I won't be going back anytime soon. I was bored to tears with static, know nothing tiles. Got a battery Live tile now! Woo hoo! I ma honestly more interested in the changes under the hood and the preparations of what is coming next. We seem to forget it is a phone. And one that has been updated at least 4 times in the past 10 months. My lord, when I pop open my HTC Titan to let the kids play some games, I am reminded of how jubilant we were to get some things! Wow! Different sized Tiles! Whouda thunk!? Chill. Remember a Consumer Preview of both Windows 10 for desktop and Phone are just around the corner. With that, there will soon be announcements of new handsets. Then we can bitch anew about this that and the other that could not be squeezed into the development cycle.
  • Amen! Nicely said.
  • i cannot download it on my HTC 8X. When update reach 3%, it stop and I must click dwonload back. ANd the problem happen again
  • It seems to have fixed the dropped cellular signal issue that started after the last update on my Lumia 1020 with Rogers Wireless.
Previously it would go down frequently and sometimes come back on its on and sometimes I would need to go into flight mode then back to fix it.
Since the update I haven't had a dropped signal yet. *fingers crossed*
  • Nevermind, I spoke to soon.
  • Try installing a different SIM card (from a different network). You may just be in a low signal area that causes the phone to hop between distant base stations
  • How do you have 5 quick action icons? I only have 4...
  • Extra columns like the 1520
  • Cool. Checking for this update as we speak. I really like what they've done with the Battery Saver app!
  • Hey guys, maybe I didn't realise, that my answer is one of these comments, but do anyone know, why there are 5 quick settings in the action bar on the picture of this article? Sorry for my bad english :D
  • It's for devices having bigger than 5 inch screens, the picture in the article shows a Lumia 1520
  • Battery saver live tile shows two different percentages depending on the tile size. And neither matches the percentage in the notification bar. Lumia 925
  • Same here. I have no use for that battery saver live tile - the percentage indicator is in the notification window anyway....so why use up space with the battery % tile?
  • Anyone else got the clock on the notification bar on screen all the time now.
  • Glance screen?
  • Nope. http://t.co/OG3EfY6DUP
  • It has been always on display for me since the 8.1 update...
  • Can 3rd party apps finally hand the ability for real time live tile???
  • My phone says its up to date i cant see any update
  • Have you installed the Preview for Developers app?
  • After installing devp build 14203 on my L925,my three navigations buttons light is not glowing at all. it is permananetly disabled after devprev update. is any one fascing same problem
  • Mine on l920 are on, check toggle in settings.
  • Got a problem with battery saver in settings on my Lumia 830. I soft reset the phone multiple times, still the same problem. I can open the settings page of the battery saver. However, whenever I go to usage, it displays "loading data" and then crashes and jumps back to the system page. anybody else has seen this?
  • works well in lumia 620 , I see are five columns action center , whether it wp 10 ?
  • 5" screens and above only
  • Anyone know when it will be released for those who aren't on preview??? Please share the info :'(
  • Bro jump to dev preview. It's easy and worth it
  • I would love to,, if I haven't purchased the extended warranty :P
  • It didn't break my warranty. India.
  • U in preview or what?
  • It doesn't break the warranty. Though, the Nokia care I go to, told me the warranty has been voided. And I'd extended the warranty. Try calling them first
  • I cant able to update..when its completed download ,it shows some error code like 8018830f
  • Known issue I think...
  • Tetra Lockcreen doesn't work in this update :( this makes me sad....
  • works fine.  just give it time to reinstall after the update.
  • how come in picture of notifocation & action centre, its 5 icons/shortcut. i feels its limited to four only. if those can be increased, pls help me.
  • 5 only on Nokia Lumia 1520!
  • Seems Microsoftier.
  • I laughed
  • How much MB is this update guys?
  • its size?
  • Yup
  • No issue - I was able to install the update on my Lumia 820. ~BS
  • My Installation is stuck on the gears screen with no movement for the past hour.. suggestions anybody??
  • wait, how do you get 5 toggles for action center?
  • That's available only in the big screen Lumia 1520
  • Where is the official 8.1.1 for all device? Why HTC One have 8.1.1, all other telephones 8.1? Why Microsoft? How long to wait? And where is"DENIM UPDATE"? You say 4-th quart! Now is 14 of Nov!?! What you waiting? All users to switch back to IOS or Android?
  • Just download Dev Preview and stop moaning!
  • What's the size of the update?
  • does it fix the blank tiles while operating the phone.?
  • Umm. Can someone help me out. How is it that in the images, the phone has 5 toggle buttons while I can manage to get only 4 ?
  • Newer phone model.
  • Only in big screen 1520
  • Battery saver suddenly does not open after update. Says "an app update in the store may be required." But I already did that before the OS update :/ edit: although nothing was changed, it is working now.
  • Cortana's animations on the live tile are now smoother since the update.
  • New feature added to update menu: select the time of firmaware update
  • U in preview or what???
  • How do I reinstall my WP Preview for Developers ? I am not getting any updates on my phone. I have OS version 8.10.14157.200. I was suppose to get two updates on my phone including this latest one. I don't know why I am not getting these updates. Someone please help.
  • Is the box checked for Enable Preview for Developer?
  • i was expecting that they will add mobile data switch in the action buttons list in nodification center.  (upset)
  • Absolutely brilliant on my 930. Having battery% on a tile is perfect. The % matches 100% the % shown in scroll down. Works very fluid and I hope the time sync issue has now been finally resolved. Oh, and of course seems faster, more stable, more fluid, etc., etc., etc. ;)
  • Yippee just installed the update!
  • BATTERY sense live tile show the percent
  • Notification center not showing battery saver in Lumia 720
  • My lumia 925 always had highest connection speed options as 2G and 3G. But after this update there is also 4G in the list. That is little weird.
  • I got the update, but I'm only getting 4 Quick Action buttons. Am I missing something? I have a 1020 btw.
  • Got update. Got Lumia 521. Got only 4 Quick Action Buttons.
  • Just completed the update...All Apps are back to normal except Skype which is still "installing"...same thing happened last time I updated my phone...I had to re-install Skype. Does anyone know what's the issue here? I have Lumia 1320 here in Pakistan!
  • ...
  • Got it installed.
  • Um treasure tags still dont work with this update on lumia 1020 with cyan
  • they work fine with my cyan 1020.
  • Are there 5 quick toggles now in Action center??
  • Motorola released the lollipop update on their phones so quick! And Microsoft still cannot give the denim update! Seems Nokia was way faster in releasing updates!
  • And you're comparing an OS update with a firmware update.
  • i have met a problem it said :" :( your pc ran into........failed"
  • Cortana uk got updated with roll a dice and flip a coin
  • Not sure if this is new or not, but when I pull down the Action Center, I now notice the live tiles "shrink" a little and then fade to black as the AC screen comes down.
  • Lumia 521 battery usage seems to have gotten worse. Yikes!
  • Lumia 925 has the same problem. I have 31% of battery after 6 hours!!! It was around 60-70% before this update.
  • Same here on my 925.  Another thing is that all email stays in the NEW state and the numbers just keep going up.
  • Yep on my L1020 I'm getting wicked bad battery now...been reading reviews and seems only certain folks are experiencing this.  Weird for sure.  May try to hard reset it this weekend to see if it helps - from full charge, just in my pocket (exact same variables as before the update with area, reception, no new apps) and went from full to 30% in approx. 2 hours.  So strange. My wifes L1020 was updated and is not affected with the battery drain - thankfully lol or I'd never hear the end of it from her
  • Have they added USB OTG support? If yes, how's it? If know, don't bother.
  •  I didn't receive any update on my Lumia 525 :(
  • My Lumia 520 feels sluggish after this update. I know a soft reset or even a hard reset might be in order.
  • Lumia 521 battery usage seems to have gotten worse. Yikes! Did hard and soft reset and battery use still is worse than before update!
  • Since the update that battery life on my 625 has increased by about say 40% well chuffed with it, i last charged my phone 11 hrs 42 mins ago & still got 13 hrs 10 mins left & still using my phone same as normal I'd say I've got say about extra 8hrs improvement .
  • Wow! Thirty minutes install to have a live tile; battery saver option in notifications and time to install updates..... Ridiculous.
  • And bugfixes.
  • Yeah, maybe. I have to say my tint issue on my 930 seems better... Still, it exists.
  • I updated this morning
  • More than hour I had to look at that rotating gears. Is there anyone who had the same problem?
  • I have observed 4G option in Cellular+SIM after updating my Lumia 920, India
  • Ignore this post
  • Ok
  • My Lumia 525 is not able to update -_-
  • Well I did the update and it went smoothly (though slowly, as usual).  However I left it for two hours to reinstall all the apps (i did check into some of my games a couple of times) but i came back after an hour of being out and two apps were installing but didn't seem to be moving and when i tried to run an app it just crashed.  So i thought i would reboot.  I now have an error that says "unable to find bootable option. press any key to shut down".  dont know if this is a coincidence or if the update did it.  I have tried all the recovery tools including the retail one and pheonix but nothing.  in the words of victor meldrew I DO NOT BELIEVE IT!!!
  • Has anyone else noticed that Lumia 920 in India has 4G option with this build, under data connection settings.
  • All the sudden my alarms don't work anymore after this little update. Reset them to different times and nothing goes off or message come up to snooze or anything.....
  • Hope Facebook integration with messages and sharpness in photos (for lumia 520)...is fixed with this.
  • is there are two critical updates for DP or only one critical update because i got 2 critical updates
  • still slow for me...i have L1020
  • I'm currently based in India with a Lumia 625. I think it is currently the only device supporting 4G. Earlier the "Highest connection speed" was 3G. After the 14203 update,I now have an option to also switch to 4G.
Would get back if I find anything else with the new 14203 update. :)
  • One thing I have noticed, when I would turn off my phone(close/lock) it used to make a clicking noise, now it doesn't. May not seem like much but it is very annoying. I keep checking my phone as I think it hasn't locked because I did not hear the click.
  • Since this update, my calls are erratic. Some calls I can't hear through the ear speaker.. I have to use the big speaker to hear the person. Hmmm..
  • something which is must necessary for lumia device are as below: 1. powerful video player like MXPLAYER of android. 2. data toggle in notification center. 3. OTG 4. TILES MAY BE 3D TYPE OR MORE inovative. thanks
  • Data connection should also introduce in action center as well.....
  • keyboard error-cannot type more than one word after this update
  • Since I updated, I can't install any app update from the store... When I find an update, it stucks there  "pending"...forever...
  • Just reluctantly "upgraded" my 920 to an 830 yesterday.  After getting the phone setup and on the developer preview, the search button no longer works.  I shouldn't say doesn't work, it's more like it works every once in a while.  Unfortunately I didn't play with the phone enough before putting the developer preview on it to see if it worked normally beforehand.  Also, it seems that the Nokia Software Recovery Tool doesn't support the 830.  Anyone else see something like this? Thanks
  • After updating to the recent build 14203, I cannot update my apps...they are shown in the store, but they stuck there pending forever....
  • I have this new update but the new battery saver settings are nowhere to be found! Using a Nokia Lumia 1520.
  • Hi, few days ago I updated to 8.10.14203.306, everything is working fine as mentioned in article except Battery live tile on my Lumia 635. Does anyone have any idea what could be the issue and how it could be fixed?
  • I tried third party app, Battery +, its live tile is somewhat working but battery saver tile is not working, it is static as it was before this update. Any idea how to fix it? Thanks
  • Where is the data toggle... It is LONG overdue.
  • I am having a HTC Windows phone 8s running Windows Phone 8.1 preview for developers. The phone updates show an update available, but it requires 620 MB space. My phone memory is around 4 GB, but almost 3 GB has been occupied by the System Files and remaining just dont get deleted even if i try to remove some from maps and emails. Is there a way out?
  • After the last update occurs on my Lumia 635 power management problem. After 20 minutes of listening to music stock battery dropped by 37% !!! During a call about two minute phone consumed nearly 13% of the battery (while very strong heating up of the housing and the whole phone) but the strangest thing was that after the evening battery charge to 100% in the morning when it was only 71% (up to now, all-night standby mode consumes about 3 to 5%) Next - browsing for about 10 minutes with the use of a battery of 35%. Similar problems were at the penultimate update, which have been repaired the previous update, the latest led to the return of the problem.

  • This "critical update" has been going for an hour now and no sign of finishing, I can't use my phone a Nokia Lumia 925. #Gettingfedup.
