Resco is back with Radio for Windows Phone 7 [Video]

For those Windows Mobile users, Resco was a standard name for software on that platform, delivering us the much needed Explorer, Radio, Audio Recorder, Contact Manger, etc.
So it's great to see them return to our new OS with an updated and very solid Resco Radio v1.0. Fetching for a modest $1.99 (and no monthly subscriptions). Radio brings straight up internet radio streaming to your phone, with some advanced features like sleep, add station, location search and of course the ability to play under the lock screen (no background though).
We decided to give it a spin and as you can see in the video, we're impressed. We highly recommend for music and talk radio addicts to take it for a trial run. Grab it here in the Marketplace (opens in new tab) for $1.99.

Pandora who? Just tried this and I'm in love. Thanks for the tip. Buying it now.

Ok. Just tried to purchase but keep getting a "This information is currently not available. Please try again later". Anyone else seen this message when trying to purchase from the marketplace before?

Probably just a temp hiccup. I'd try back in an hour or try from desktop (or on your phone if vice versa).

I saw this app yesterday and wondered if it was legit. I couldn't find any mention of it on Resco.net, and still can't find anything. Anyways I just bought it, so far so good. I am happy that resco's pricing is finally cheap. They used to charge so much for their WinMo 6.X apps. So for $1.99 this is well worth it. I already have a few radio apps, so I didn't need this. But I want to support Resco as they make good stuff, so hopefully my purchase will help slightly in making their mind up on future apps.

99% of the time, developers have no idea when their app is "live" in the Market, or rather they don't get a heads up. So you often see these big companies caught off guard when it does come out and that's my guess here. A lot of the times, we'll get "press releases" on apps that have been out for weeks (e.g. Geico), which is always funny.

I got it the day it came out. Never did the trial, just purchased - because it is from Resco - even though - three weeks on, there is no mention of it on their site.Never-the-less, I think it is a milestone in that this is the first app from an old-line Windows Mobile house - and that is a very good thing. I hope they release Photo Manager for WP7 and at least a speed-dial app linking contact pics. Now, come on SPB. You have to be next! I need my wallet!!!
