Sea of Thieves finally gets a release timeframe for Xbox One and Windows 10
published

Sea of Thieves, the upcoming pirate-themed multiplayer game from Rare and Microsoft, will be released sometime in February 2017 for the Xbox One and Windows 10.
Microsoft first announced the game last year at E3 2015 and showed off gameplay footage from Sea of Thieves during E3 2016 this week, but it did not reveal a release date for the game. However, in a chat on the Kinda Funny YouTube channel, Aaron Greenberg, Microsoft's head of Xbox Games marketing stated that Sea of Thieves would be out sometime in February 2017.
Before the full game is released, Rare and Microsoft plan to launch a beta test for Sea of Thieves. So far, details about the beta have not been revealed.

Not big on the release date. Too many things have been mvoed from fall/winter 2016 to winter 2017. It's getting crowded, thanks to stuff like Horizon, Sea of Thieves, Halo Wars, and others. I'd like to see a year where the summer gets a few nice releases, instead of a massive spring/summer lull where there's almost nothing to do.
