Skype for Windows 10 receives touch of Fluent Design in latest update

Microsoft is rolling out an update to Insiders in the Fast ring for the Skype app for Windows 10 that brings with it a touch of Fluent Design, something that the Skype app has been in desperate need of ever since it debuted.

Today's update adds the Acrylic blur effect and reveal effects to the sidebar conversation list located on the left side of the window. While not a huge change, it is a start and confirmation that Microsoft does indeed plan on bringing the full Fluent Design language to the Skype UWP app.

The version rolling out is 12.10.534.0 and is rolling out now via the Microsoft Store for those in the Fast ring. We suspect the update will make its way to the Release Preview and eventually public rings soon. What are your thoughts on Microsoft bringing Fluent Design to the Skype app for Windows 10?
