Star Wars Battlefront takes the fight to the Death Star in latest DLC

Star Wars Battlefront players can officially take the fight to the Death Star thanks to the game's latest DLC expansion. Now available for season pass holders on Xbox One and PC, the Death Star expansion brings a slew of new maps, a new game mode and much more.

In all, the pack contains 5 new maps — all set on and around the Death Star — along with the new Battle Station game mode, which EA describes thusly:

A new three-phased mode in which Rebels attempt to destroy an Imperial Star Destroyer in order to clear space for a GR-75 and its brave Rebel boarding party. Then, these Rebels participating in an assault on the Death Star in hopes of rescuing R2-D2 before, finally, attempting to destroy the Death Star itself with the help of Luke Skywalker.

This update also includes two new heroes, Chewbacca and Bossk, along with new Star Cards and weapons. Of course, there are a number of bug fixes and tuning tweaks across the board as well. If you're interested in checking out the full list of changes, be sure to give EA's full patch notes a look.

  • Got it loaded this morning. Can't wait to get home and play :)
  • Space....the final frontier!...oops wait!...wrong universe ;)
  • While this looks cool, I was burned by the initial release. EA won't be seeing a penny of my money for quite some time. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • And what exactly burned you?
  • Still no galactic conquest :(
  • Oh hells yes.  Can't wait!
  • I already suck at flying in the normal maps. I cant wait to constantly crash into the wall trying to destroy the Death Star! =P
  • Finally, new flying modes!  I'm going to have to start playing this game again.  Been off it for probably six months or so.
  • I've played it, its great! Really been looking forward to it and it didn't disappoint, everything feels and looks and sounds so authentic and its a load of fun
  • it's really nice but too flying focussed imho... if you don't like flying, you're kinda screwed...
  • how else are you going to bomb the exhaust port?  in a space suit carrying a bomb by hand?
  • Too funny... I mean that they could have put variation in the"indoor" battles as well. Again : I like it but if you're not into flying, you won't have much out of this DLC...
