Earlier this month, Microsoft launched the Surface Pro 7+, an updated Surface Pro 7 with newer Intel 11th-gen processors, more RAM, and an LTE variant for those who need it. In the last two years, a new Surface Pro has often been announced alongside a new Surface Laptop, but that didn't happen this year. So, when is the next Surface Laptop coming, and what will be new? Here's everything...
Microsoft is expected to launch new versions of its Surface Pro and Surface Laptop early next year, and today images of those products have appeared online as they pass through certification in Korea. These images confirm that the devices won't be featuring any new designs, instead opting to keep the casing the same as the previous generation.
New firmware updates are available for several Surface devices, including the Surface Book 2, Surface Pro 6, and Surface Laptop 2. The updates focus mostly on battery improvements, along with some major bug fixes for Surface Book 2.
The Surface Laptop 2 now comes in black and while it may lack any big surprises that new quad-core processor and faster SSD make a world of difference. Sure, it's expensive, but this is still the nicest laptop around. Shame about those ports though.
