Microsoft Surface Rt

In a rare celebration, Microsoft launched Surface RT to a massive crowd in New York City on October 26, 2012. Here are some photos from that night we took when we lined up to get one.

Exactly five years ago to the day, Microsoft released it first Surface device aimed at consumers, then known only as "Microsoft Surface," but it eventually became known as the "Surface RT." It started a Windows revolution.

I've been using Surface devices as a primary computers since the Surface RT launched back in 2012. Going back to something more 'traditional' simply isn't an option anymore.

Microsoft appears to finally be pushing out a long-awaited update to Windows RT that brings along a Start Menu, though not much more.
