There have been rumors that Ubisoft is working on a new Splinter Cell game for quite some time now. However, it seems like it may not be the AAA experience everyone was expecting. In a recent interview with Gamersky, Ubisoft head Yves Guillemot said that Sam Fisher's return may not be in a "traditional" release. It may be "some new type of experiences, but more on different devices."
Today, Larry Hryb, Director of Programming for Xbox Live, announced that Xbox 360 games Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Splinter Cell: Double Agent are now backward compatible on Xbox One.
This morning, Ubisoft accidentally published an image revealing that Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction was "now backward compatible". Luckily, this wasn't a mistake and the game became playable on Xbox One a few hours later.

The Xbox Red Stripe Deal of the Week doesn’t update until Thursday, but that doesn’t mean you won’t find a new Xbox Windows Phone deal today. Yet on the iOS platform, the ‘Loft has a much different reputation. They’ve made a name for themselves by either porting or cloning big-name...
This week's "Must Have Game" is Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction. We wrote about this game way back in June 2011 and it was even announced before Windows Phone 7 launched, making this one of the longest "in gestation" games we have seen yet. We wrote back then: "Another Gameloft title, Conviction was announced prior to the Windows Phone launch and then disappeared off the radar...
