Tattooing your Nokia Lumia 710

Tattooing your Lumia 710

While the Nokia Lumia 710 Windows Phone can be customized with swappable colored back panels, a tattoo artist in London is taking the customization a step further. Simon Templeman will tattoo your favorite pattern on to your Lumia 710's back panel.

“It’s a great way to make your phone stand out. Tattoos say a lot about people, so I thought it would be great for them to be able to put that individuality on their phone too.”

For now, Templeman is using lacquer layers to make the designs permanent. He is working on a laser technique to burn the images on to the panel. The cost for the tattoo job? The jobs start at 40 pounds and go up depending on the details of the design.

Not sure if Templeman is set up for mail order service but if you're in London, it might be worth a stop to get your Nokia Lumia 710 tagged with your favorite tat.  You can learn more about Templeman's services here his website, (opens in new tab).

  • Talk about going back in time. Who wants tattoos on their phones anymore. This was a trend in the 90s when Nokia made fascia phones. This will just ruin the modern clean look of the Lumia and turn it into an ugly 90s Nokia.
  • "If you're in London," please. I escaped horrific illiteracy at the hands of the "journalists" at crackberry; please don't have the same lack of standards here.
    You're welcome.
  • blame it on the lack of sleep... thanks for the catch
  • Am I the only one that thinks the dragon in the BG is badass?
  • I'm with ya. My first cell phone was a Nokia with a red dragon cover. It may have been a "fascia phone' as the other person was referring to. The outside body was basically a replaceable phone shell. That is still the best phone I've ever owned. Hell, I still have it packed away somewhere. It was a Nokia AT&T Go-Phone.
  • I found my old one of those buried in a desk drawer a couple of months ago. It really brought back the memories.
  • I agree ahdr. So 90's and it was tacky back then.
  • Nice
