Performance hardware includes up to 12th Gen Intel Core i7 vPro mobile CPUs or AMD's Ryzen PRO 5000 series CPUs. Both laptops can be equipped with up to 64GB of RAM and a 1TB M.2 PCIe SSD as well. Three battery sizes are available, allowing users to better balance weight, cost, and runtime. If you are going to be on the move a lot, 4G LTE connectivity can be added. Otherwise, you get Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.

Collaboration capabilities are better than ever thanks to a new FHD camera with IR sensor with Hello, Dolby Voice, and Dolby Audio. You get speakers and microphones optimized for voices, as well as spatial audio capabilities that better separate individual voices. The camera comes with a webcam shutter for added privacy. And since this is a ThinkPad, you can expect plenty of extra security features, including fingerprint reader, dTPM 2.0 chip, and Kensington lock slot.

The ThinkPad L14 (Gen 3) has a 14-inch display with 1920x1080 (FHD) resolution, 400 nits, and low power draw. The Thinkpad L15 (Gen 3) has a larger 15.6-inch display with FHD resolution and 300 nits. Both can be had with touch functionality. Intel models are both expected to launch May 2022 starting at $929. AMD models are both expected to launch April 2022 starting at $869.
