Update: Confirmed, Sprint announcing HTC 7 Pro this Thursday

Sprint just had another Tweet which not-so-cryptically reads:

"If you could design a brand new phone, what would it have? Ours will have a hub for gaming, music, pictures and video."

That's only one OS in the world and it ain't Android, baby! (Although technically, Samsung has been swiping "hubs" for their Galaxy SII phones...) We imagine in the next 48hrs a ton of info should be coming out regarding availability, pricing, etc. All we know is we can't wait and we'll be the first to order.

Finally, Windows Phone on CDMA.

Source: @sprint; Thanks, @bdattilo, for the heads up!

  • Well, technically Samsung introduced hubs in the Galaxy S2 at MWC, but I do think this is the 7 pro.
  • Yeah, mentioned that above. Was in the audience at MWC when they announced that and a couple of us chuckled...real innovative Samsung! It would be a kick in the pants if it was the Galaxy SII, but I'm leaning towards a heavy "no" on that as well.
  • Doesnt MS have a patent on the hub concept? I know they filed one for the panorama/pivot UI concept.
  • If they do, no one told Samsung as they literally called them hubs at MWC--gaming, books, music...
  • Looks like they did, but maybe it hasnt been granted yet Is samsung's design like WP7 or are they just using the name?
  • "Samsung says it currently has no plans for a CDMA version of [Galaxy S II] at this time."
  • I wish Samsung released a Focus type device.
  • So, I'll go to a store to play with one, and if I like it, I'll get it. Well, most likely. I've become accustomed to 4G speeds with my Evo... hopefully this will have 4G? I doubt it.
  • I hope HTC quickly brings this to ATT with the "Tilt 7" or whatever they will call it.
  • Some day they will ask me where I was when Sprint announed WP7. And I will say right here at WPCentral.
  • Niiice...
  • Not the best WP7 device, but its a start. I personally like the bigger screen devices like the Samsung Focus and Dell Venue Pro.
  • It's awesome technology in the world so I like this feature ..Hydroxycut
