White Xbox Elite Controller now available for preorder

For just as long as consumers have been asking Microsoft for a white Xbox One X, they've been asking the company for a white Xbox Elite Controller. Luckily, the company acquiesced and a white Xbox Elite Controller is now available for preorder at GameStop and the Microsoft Store.

The white controller will launch on October 16, 2018 and is the exact same model as the original. Keep in mind that this controller doesn't feature Bluetooth technology so you need an adapter to connect it to your PC wirelessly.

If you're in the market for a new Xbox Elite Controller, be sure to pick this one up for $149.99. It looks glorious in "Robot White".

  • Stupid. Where's the redesigned V2? Wouldn't give them $5 for the old fall apart style.
  • Be nice to see if there was any news on any revisions to the grip. So annoying how they fall off. Even my second controller that I rarely used saw the grip coming off within a year. And the left thumbstick comes lose. Hopefully this is just some tactic to get rid of any remaining stock parts they have. I would guess we wouldn't see a revision now until at least e3 next year.
  • Cant be a tactic to get rid of old stock since the white Elite previously didn't exist. This is a new release of old hardware in a new color.
  • Yeah. I know. Just dreaming. Real shame about the flaws. Be cool if they were easily replaceable. I got some scuff grips which do the job for that part, but the thumbstick coming so lose was a real shame.
  • Unless its for the internal components.
  • The "old" controller is still phenominal, but it wouldn't have killed them to add Bluetooth. Love the white!
  • Pro's avoid Bluetooth wherever possible. I don't think they thought the controller would do nearly as well as it did.
  • Albino lol. Is this the old one
  • Meh. Not spending $149 on another elite v1. Definitely for V2 though
  • you're not pro unless you can buy a new one every year
  • I’m still having issues with the Elite Controller and the plug and play charge kit. The battery claims to be flat after an hour of use. Take it out and put it back in again and it claims to be full. Having to this every hour of play for three days! May send it back,
  • If they're releasing this, it's because the V2 was either postponed or cancelled until the Xads One Two (or whatever the name of the 2020 console that'll lose to the PS5 will be) comes out.
  • If there never was a v2.
  • I have to send my Elite controller in to be fixed again, the left and right buttons are both stuffed.
