You'll soon be able to explore planets with Xbox One in Elite Dangerous: Horizons

Frontier has announced that Elite Dangerous: Horizons is coming soon to Xbox One. The season of content brings with it some notable expansions, which include features like planetary landings, loot and crafting, multi-crew co-operative play and more – some of which are still in development. If you already own and enjoy Elite Dangerous, Horizons is a must-have due to planetary landings alone that really add to the overall immersive experience.

Once launched on Xbox One, Horizons will not only include planetary landings, but also the upcoming Engineers expansions, which will introduce loot and crafting systems. Those on Xbox One will be able to enjoy new features as they're added alongside PC brethren. You can read up on upcoming seasons for Elite Dangerous by heading to the official website.

Horizons for Xbox One will launch in Q2 2016, but you can already purchase and enjoy the season package on PC.

  • There are certain drugs I love very much.
  • Been waiting for this one!
  • Isn't this the game that we need to constantly pay to play online or something like that?
  • Nope. There's expansion packs yes but no monthly subscription fee (aside from Xbox Live Gold I guess) to worry about!
  • Is this like an MMO space shooter? I really should check it out and will do when I get a chance, but could you summarise what it's like to play? Does the Xbox One version run either a solid 30 or 60 FPS and does it do cross platform play (Pc and Xbox)?
  • No, I think you're thinking of Eve online. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Plz check the forum section I need everyone's help
  • Hmmm.
  • Been waiting for this!
  • About damn time.  And further expansions happening one PC and XBone at the same time is f'n sweet.
  • I have a Elite Dangerous Arena. I know if I buy retail Elite Dangerous I carry it's only paying the extra. But will the same apply if I buy this?
  • To the developer: We'd like to have this on Mobile. Thanks Developers.
  • This is turning into Mass Effect. All I need now is away parties that can walk around and do close quarters battles.
