The battery on the Android M8 is quite good, compared to the Lumia 930, its actually great. Camera wise, if you haven't used the device, then don't judge it. I have an M8 and it takes stunning pictures, the resolution is on the down side, but quality wise you'll be surprised.

Every reviewer says that, once you crop and process photos with the UltraPixel cam, the quality really suffers. Do you find that to be true?  Man, has my 1020 spoiled me.

Yurp I know I dont have the right to judge it. But I am referring to the camera resolution. For me it should be higher at least 8mp. I know about the quality. My friend had one. :D

So, is this Google's Trojan horse? Get a ton of WP users then stop supporting it and give Android to the customers?

I love my Icon, just waiting for Verizon to release the Cyan update. I have no interest in buying an HTC. With the Cyan update my Icon will make this phone look like a child's toy. I believe this is why Verizon is holding up the Cyan update, so they can sell as many of the HTC One M8 phones as possible first.

I have the Lumia 930 and an Android M8, would love an M8 for windows too. The phone looks and feels amazing. The android version performs extremely well too. Been using it since the day it was released and no complains what so ever.

Cyan makes a phone that is pretty much better than the Icon look like a childs toy? Are you serious? This Nokia fanboyism if probably why other OEMs don't make Windows Phones. Be glad we actually have a phone with more current specs running WP.

Since the HTC phone will be vailable today with Windows phone 8.1 update 1 already installed, I wonder if Verizon is waiitng to update all their phones to Windows 8.1 update 1.

I bought the prior "high end" HTC X1, I think it was called, the week it first came out,  Specs aside I came to feel that the Nokia Lumia 520 was a better daily companion. Sure the HTC camera had a bigger screen,  a flash and 3 more megapixel camera, but the included Nokia programs and continued upgrading of the phone kept me using it over the HTC. Now that the 635 is out with a bigger screen, motion data and cyan, I use it and plan to stick with it until a flagship (Microsoft) Nokia Lumia comes out.

Would love to try this phone out. Despite the complaints about HTC I would gladly buy it if it were on T Mobile. Tired of these low range Lumias that T mobile has to offer. Unlike my 521 and 635, at least this phone has a flash, front facing camera and much better memory!

PLEASE tell me whether it'll be available in global variant or not!!! I'm dying to see it launch in India!!! High on specs and low on price!! Too good!!

Michael Tillman, I will be your Guinea Pig as I intend to plunk down the $600 tomorrow morning on the M8 and test my T-mobile sim. Hope all goes well as most of my current area has been refarmed. If all else fails, I use Verizon for work so the phone will not got to waste. Wish me luck!!!
