Acer will unveil its 2016 holiday lineup at IFA on Aug. 31

Acer will unveil its holiday lineup for 2016 at IFA on August 31. At last year's event, the manufacturer showed off the Jade Primo, and it is highly likely that a successor to the phone will be announced at IFA 2016.

There's no further information as to what we'll see, but Acer should have more to share regarding its VR ambitions, as well as new notebooks. We'll be on the ground next month at IFA, so stay tuned to Windows Central for all the details.

  • A successor to the Jade Primo? When did the JP get released?
  • I saw it in Manila, Philippines.  Its a good phone although the camera is not so good.  If the price goes down I might get it.
  • If someone can bring a high-end, Continuum enabled WP to Verizon, I believe there is still some pent-up demand.
  • Well how come the Windows Central team hasn't seen nor reported on the device since its "launch"? A successor is a joke for a phone that went ghost and you can't find one single review on YouTube. I hope the same doesn't happen to other hardware outside of the HP Elite X3. • Agree. Ain't seen the Jade Primo for sale... Let alone in the wild. Would think a Jade Primo or follow up would be kinda pointless now the Elite X3 Specs wise mops the floor with it
  • It's been available for a while here in the UK. Though not from the usual kind of places. I found one here https://www.alternate.co.uk/Acer/Liquid-Jade-Primo/html/product/1262964 Seems the major stockists didn't want it on the shelves. Though I'm not sure about enterprise channels.
  • Never heard anything about the jade primo being released in the U.S. And for that reason alone I'm not even interested in this event
