Anime Month on the Windows Store brings free seasons and big discounts

Microsoft is once again serving up some deals on various TV shows and movies for Anime Month on the Windows Store. The last Anime Month on Microsoft's online storefront was only back in February, but the company is again discounting favorites (opens in new tab) like Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, Fairy Tail, and Bleach. There are even some free first season to be had, depending on the show.

Here's a brief look at some of the highlights:

These highlights only include some of what's covered in the sale, and there's a whole lot more to check out. If you're looking to bolster your anime collection, the sale is set to run through July 31, so you've got some time to peruse. And if freebies are all you're into, the first seasons of Dragon Ball Z, Fairy Tail, and Yu Yu Hakusho can all be picked up for free.

  • Cowboy Bebop is worth it, I'll check out what else is on sale outside the list here though.
  • I'm with you. I love Cowboy Bebop! The creativity and art style are truly awesome.
  • US only again or worldwide?
  • As is usual for Microsoft, only US, and a select few.
  • If only it was possible to do so in India. Why Microsoft, WHY???
  • Well, like a year ago I managed to buy stuff from the Store which usually isn't available in my region by doing the following:
    1) Changing my region to the US in settings
    2) Setting my billing address to something in the United states when setting up a payment method (I picked the White House address lol, it worked) Now I'm on a new laptop and I can view the content and all but when I try to pay for Ghost in the Shell it just says that something went wrong while processing the payment. Dunno if it's due to me or them or if the above method stopped working.
But yeah, if you badly want to buy something you can try it and let me know if it worked for you.
