ASRock's Taichi RX 5700 XT goes bananas on display outputs

What you need to know

  • Taichi is ASRock's premium branding usually attached to motherboards.
  • The Taichi RX 5700 has a whopping six outputs, including four DisplayPorts.
  • Price and availability as yet unknown

More impressive than just the size of the thing is that it has a total of six outputs, four for DisplayPort and two for HDMI. Either ASRock is targeting VR users with this, or people who sit in front of a setup reminiscent of that the Architect had in The Matrix.

The Taichi RX 5700 XT also comes bearing a label for "OC+", so presumably there's a factory overclock applied, but aside from what it looks like and what's on the front of the box, there's not much else to go on right now. Oh, but it does come with a full backplate, and if you're also using a Taichi X570 motherboard the two will go quite nicely together.

Given the potential of the RX 5700 series in reference form, it's exciting to see that the third-parties are getting stuck right in and offering a lot of choice. Let's not forget, AMD has reportedly passed NVIDIA for the first time in five years when it comes to market share, so it's a good time to be a PC gamer. The competition has never been stronger, and there are plenty of options to be found in our roundup of the best graphics cards available now.
