Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's final DLC pack coming August 4 for Xbox

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare players on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms will be able to download Reckoning, the fourth and final paid DLC pack for its first person shooter, on August 4.

Reckoning will include four new multiplayer maps, all of which support the Exo Grapple for some fast-paced movement:

  • Overload: Enjoy the grand view of downtown New Baghdad from this exotic compound, complete with fountains, gardens and decorative plasma lamps. The map's multiple levels and long perimeter site-lines highlight medium to long-range combat, and firing a shot at the lamps will send enemies flying in a burst of energy.
  • Quarantine: Following a deadly viral outbreak, the island has been converted into a biological testing center. This medium sized map's tight corners dial up the speed and open areas combine to allow for any style of gameplay. Activate the map-based scorestreak to unleash a devastating ship-fired missile strike.
  • Fracture: Discover what secrets are locked in the ice in this arctic excavation site. Take refuge behind wind turbines and heavy equipment through large combat areas cradled on the shelf of a glacier. Stay alert as the timed event cracks the ice sheet, sending one lane sinking to the depths.
  • Swarm: Reconstruction is underway in Seoul, South Korea, congesting narrow corridors of this small to medium sized map with vehicles and equipment. Take position in war-scarred storefronts that provide plenty of cover over the streets or flank the enemy through close quarter interiors in the center of the map.

Reckoning will also contain the fourth and final chapter of the Exo Zombies campaign. Descent:

"In the last episode, the team - Bill Paxton (Aliens, Titanic, Edge of Tomorrow), Rose McGowan (Planet Terror, Scream), Jon Bernthal (Fury, The Wolf of Wall Street) and new member Bruce Campbell (Army of Darkness, Burn Notice), are about to escape from the Atlas aircraft carrier on which they've been stranded. But before they do, they discover their friend and original squad member, John Malkovich (In the Line of Fire, RED, Burn After Reading), has been turned, and is now among the undead. Descent introduces a remote ocean Atlas survival facility, new "fused" exo zombie enemies, and the Trident Reflected Energy Weapon."

Reckoning will be priced at $14.99, and is included in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's Season Pass which costs $49.99 for all four DLC packs. This is also the last such pack that will be released first for a Call of Duty game for the Xbox platform. Activision has signed up with Sony to provide first access to the DLC packs for the next game in the series, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, for the PlayStation consoles.

  • I'll just wait for the season pass to get cheaper
  • Ditto.
  • That's cool
  • I have the season pass and I still haven't downloaded the last dlc. The cod franchise has simply become to stale and uninspired. Every chance they've had to do something really outside the box, they cut themselves short of actually doing it. I know others still love the game and I hope they enjoy this new content, but for me, I'm done.
  • Agreed. COD has been dead for 4 years now... Dont know why kids still buy it when you got battlefield and more out there..
  • I'd say the reason people still by COD over battlefield is simply because COD's gameplay is more of your classic run and gun type. It's faster paced too. Battlefield on the other is typically much larger maps and is definitely much slower paced than COD. It's a matter of preference though and people who choose to buy COD over BF typically prefer faster gameplay and smaller maps.
  • I used to think that. I was a major COD fan, but my first Battlefield Game was Hard-line. I must say that it's just as fast paced as COD. I'm now a Battlefield fan. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • I'm done also.
  • These are my types of games... But gaming has gotten so complex and expensive, i just got a head ache watching that vid
  • Awesome, glad I got the season pass. The DLC maps are much better than what the game came with. I actually kind of enjoy playing the game now.
  • CoD will never die because every year there's a fresh batch of 15 year olds that have never played it before and will buy the next 5 games till they get over it like the rest of us have.
  • Boring + too expensive game
  • I just read.... Cell of duty....
  • So long as it is not dooty in cell
