Updated July 2, 2019: Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course has been delayed to 2020. Studio MDHR said the following. "While we initially announced a 2019 release date for The Delicious Last Course expansion, our highest priority is making sure this new adventure meets the meticulous level of care and quality we always strive for. We want to be absolutely certain that this next adventure feels at home in the world of Cuphead and is full of moments that surprise and delight players. Furthermore, the development of the original game taught us a great deal about the importance of making things in a way that's healthy and sustainable for our team. With that in mind, we're taking a page out of Chef Saltbaker's book, and spending the necessary time to get the recipe just right – this means that we'll be moving the release of The Delicious Last Course to 2020. This wasn't an easy decision to make, but we're confident it's one that will result in a higher quality experience that's all the sweeter when it does arrive."
Microsoft and Studio MDHR took to the E3 2018 stage today to unwrap a new DLC pack for Cuphead, The Delicious Last Course.
Set to arrive in 2019, The Delicious Last Course will introduce a new playable character, Ms. Chalice, along with a new island. There will also be plenty of new weapons, charms, and, of course, a new set of abilities to check out with Ms. Chalice. Here's the official look at what's coming:
- Featuring Ms. Chalice as a brand new playable character with a modified moveset and new abilities. Once acquired, Ms. Chalice is fully playable through the DLC and the original Cuphead adventure!
- Traverse a brand new Inkwell Isle and wallop the most wacky and monstrous bosses Cuphead has faced yet!
- Find new weapons and charms to aid you in overcoming brand new challenges and setting new records on old bosses!
- Help Chef Saltbaker on a brand new adventure to uncover the mystery of Legendary Chalice's secret quest!
While you'll have to wait until 2019 to pick up The Delicious Last Course, you can catch up on Cuphead now for $16.99 (regularly $19.99).
