Does Grounded have multiple versions or editions?

It's commonplace for most games to offer a variety of versions or editions, with higher-priced options, including additional content or perks over the base versions. However, there's no indication that Grounded will follow this trend, at least right now. Grounded is still a ways out from being released, and will only be available through Early Access or Game Preview starting July 28, 2020, up until its eventual full release. This means just one version to choose from, for interested players who don't mind playing a game that isn't quite finished.

Once Grounded is feature complete and Obsidian Entertainment, the lovely studio behind this unique survival title, are ready to let Grounded loose to the general public, additional versions may become available. This is especially likely if Grounded intends to add any kind of cosmetic system in the future, or if Grounded will get expansions in the form of DLC packs. If not, Grounded may always be a game requiring little choice when purchasing, and instead, just improve over time as a "game as a service."

We don't have all of the answers right now. Still, we do know that if you're interested in Grounded, an open-world survival game that shrinks players down to the size of mere insects, all you have to do is wait until July 28, 2020, and buy the Early Access or Game Preview of Grounded from Steam or Microsoft. Alternatively, all subscribers to Xbox Game Pass will have access to Grounded day one, both in its Game Preview and its eventual final release!
