Microsoft shared more details on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S backward compatible games today. Similar to what Microsoft has previously shared, a select list of games will have their resolution increased to 1440p and 4K on Xbox Series S and Series X respectively.

Nearly all backward compatible games also benefit from Auto HDR and 16x texture filtering. Meanwhile, some games will also have their framerates doubled. While we still don't have the full list, we now know that Fallout 4 runs at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Below, you can see a comparison clip of Fallout 4 running at 60 FPS on Xbox Series S.

Bethesda Softworks is joining Xbox now that Microsoft is acquiring ZeniMax, so it's possible we could see other Bethesda titles receive similar enhancements. Microsoft also confirmed that cloud saves on Xbox 360 will soon be free, allowing players to carry all their game saves forward into the next generation. The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are set to release on November 10.
