This adventure revolves around the titular Cult of the Holy Detonation, a group of fanatical mutants that worship a god they call the Holy Detonation. This "god" is in fact, a nuclear explosion that has miraculously been frozen in suspended animation thanks to advanced technology. The Holy Detonation's massive energy output could provide Colorado a near limitless supply of energy for centuries or destroy it in the blink of an eye.

This expansion will pull out all stops to test Wasteland 3 players on many of the game's fundamental systems. There will be frightening new foes to face, new characters to negotiate with, new weapons and armor to collect, and challenging battles filled with objectives that must be completed to secure victory. Rangers will have to fix overloading reactors, manage ventilation systems, and operate defensive installations to fight back against the radiative fanatics.

You can purchase the Cult of Wasteland expansion for $6.99 or as part of the Colorado Collection for $50. Wasteland 3 was considered one of the best games ever released on Xbox platforms. Can the Cult of the Holy Detonation give Wasteland 3 an epic grand finale worthy of the series legacy? It sure looks promising.
