This adventure revolves around the titular Cult of the Holy Detonation, a group of fanatical mutants that worship a god they call the Holy Detonation. This "god" is in fact, a nuclear explosion that has miraculously been frozen in suspended animation thanks to advanced technology. The Holy Detonation's massive energy output could provide Colorado a near limitless supply of energy for centuries or destroy it in the blink of an eye.
