Following a PC-heavy State of Play, there are growing signs of a wider industry shift. Xbox has already embraced PC as a core platform, and now Shift Up appears to be exploring a broader future for Stellar Blade, beyond just PC and PlayStation.

The South Korean developer recently commented on potentially bringing the game to platforms beyond PS5 and PC. That alone is enough to spark hope among Xbox fans who have been waiting for a possible port.

In a recent post on its website outlining company performance, Shift Up stated it is:

Reviewing platform expansion beyond PS5 and PC to broaden audience reach

Shift Up

That wording is careful, but doesn't leave much up to the imagination. Whilst it does not confirm a platform, it clearly signals that Stellar Blade may not remain limited to its current platforms.

Shift Up is also positioning 2026 as a transitional year for the franchise. It sees Stellar Blade as a long-term IP, with a sequel already in development, stating:

We expect 2026 to be a year in which more users experience the existing title while momentum and anticipation builds toward the next phase of the ‘Stellar Blade’ franchise

Shift Up

In other words, expansion appears to be part of a broader strategy. Shift Up wants to grow the games audience, while laying the groundwork for whatever comes next.

It is easy to see why Xbox fans would take this as a sign the game may come to Xbox. While no new platforms have been named, expanding beyond PlayStation and PC naturally raises questions about where Stellar Blade could land next, whether that is Xbox or Nintendo Switch 2.

It is, of course, just all speculation, as Shift Up does not directly name any platform; however, PlayStation published games are no stranger to Xbox, with Helldivers 2, MLB and even the upcoming Marathon all under its umbrella.
