Get a first look at State of Decay 2's zombie-ridden world in 4K glory

Microsoft has debuted its first gameplay trailer for upcoming action-based zombie survival title, State of Decay 2. Showcased in 4K at 60 frames per second (FPS), the trailer gives an indication of how the game will look when enhanced for Microsoft's upcoming Xbox One X console.

Following up to the 2013 Xbox 360 hit, State of Decay 2 will expand the scale of the franchise, as a key part of the Microsoft Studios lineup in 2018. Staying true to the original, today's newly released trailer focuses integration with a team and how the decisions you make effect gameplay.

While we're yet to see much of State of Decay 2, the game is currently on track for a Spring 2018 release on Xbox One and Windows 10. The game will also support the Xbox platform's Play Anywhere initiative, which enables cross-platform saves and purchases between the two platforms.
