The HP Elite x3 can connect to an HP Desk Dock to add a display, keyboard, and mouse. Owners can also use a Mobile Extender folio device, which is like a laptop but the processing is handled wired or wireless through the Elite x3 and Windows 10 Continuum.

The HP Elite x3 is expected to go on sale later in the summer of 2016. Currently, around 30 companies are in NDA testing of the phone for deployment. Although the phone will not be sold through carriers or retail locations regular consumers should be able to buy the phone direct from HP or Microsoft albeit for a hefty price-tag.
