Huawei Ascend W1 to be released in Italy Q1 2013

Yesterday evening, Huawei presented an arsenal of Android products to attending journalists and bloggers at an event in Rome, Italy. Windows Phone Italy decided to investigate further and revealed the Huawei Ascend W1, which is set to be heading to Asia after it's officially announced at CES 2013 next year, will be also released in Italy.

Should sources familiar with company plans be accurate, by March 2013 Italian consumers will also have the opportunity to purchase a Huawei Windows Phone. It makes sense for the manufacturer to target more than one market, especially with the competitiveness that's present in the Android ecosystem.

No word on pricing or availability with carriers, but we expect more details to surface after the handset has been presented at CES. Be sure to check out more images of the Ascend W1.
