Yesterday evening, Huawei presented an arsenal of Android products to attending journalists and bloggers at an event in Rome, Italy. Windows Phone Italy decided to investigate further and revealed the Huawei Ascend W1, which is set to be heading to Asia after it's officially announced at CES 2013 next year, will be also released in Italy.
Should sources familiar with company plans be accurate, by March 2013 Italian consumers will also have the opportunity to purchase a Huawei Windows Phone. It makes sense for the manufacturer to target more than one market, especially with the competitiveness that's present in the Android ecosystem.
No word on pricing or availability with carriers, but we expect more details to surface after the handset has been presented at CES. Be sure to check out more images of the Ascend W1.

Good. It should come to US Cellular.
If they couldn't be bothered to mention it while presenting their "arsenal" of droids I have a feeling this is a device destined to be dumped on the market then promptly forgotten about. Better to go with devices like the 620 and 8s.
Huawei phones won't be coming to America... But MS Surface phones manufactured by Huawei will.
just a rumor I thought of.
I doubt they can sell many WP in Italy... Here WP = Lumia :)
Until now, Windows Phone means Lumia in Italy, that's true. But I think, after HTC comes with its 8X and 8S and Samsung with its Ativ S there wont be only Nokia anymore...
Knew this like one month before. You guys should just have asked the Media-guys of Huawei ;-) Nice to see the
-ZTE 2 (?)
- Lumia 620
in next year! ;-)
