Introducing the Nokia Lumia 610 Windows Phone

It's official now. Nokia has introduced the company's fourth Lumia Windows Phone, the Lumia 610. The Lumia 610 will be Nokia's most affordable Windows Phone targeted to our younger audience.
The 610 will sport a 3.7" LCD display, 256mb RAM, 8GB of storage, and a 5mp rear camera. It will be available in white, cyan, magenta, and black. The Lumia 610 measures 119 x 62 x 12mm and weighs in at 131.5 grams. It is also slated to run Windows Phone Mango. Expect the Lumia 610 to hit markets sometime during the second quarter of 2012 at a pricing point of 189 Euros.
Oh..Nokia already has the Lumia 610's product page up and you can find it here at Nokia Europe (opens in new tab).

Nice. If I ever wanted my kids to have a starter phone
-
Better specs than expected at a low price point. Good going Nokia!
-
I think this is my next phone. Small in the hand (important for some women, 4" devices are too big to hold comfortably) and the specs page says 8GB of internal storage. Plenty enough for a few photos, apps and MP3s.
-
Keep in mind that the usable storage for this device will likely be closer to 6GB (by that I mean storage left for your apps, music and videos. It's about that amount for the Lumia 710 I just bought for my Sister.
-
That's ok, I used to have a Mozart before it broke and I was nowhere near filling it up. I tend to change what music I have on my phone anyway.
-
Yes, and you get 25gb free storage with SkyDrive. You can keep those photos deleted off your phone to save tons of space, and they are always available anywhere anytime. It works great, and I use it all the time.

Cannot wait for the Nokia Drive (& Maps?) update, as well as Nokia Reading and Transport. With these, I really think Nokia has taken Windows Phone up and positioned it very firmly in the race, especially with bringing these apps (as well as XBL and Office Mobile) to the low/mid-end market with Lumia 610/710.
-
I believe you get 25GB of extra storage with SkyDrive!

wait wait wait im confused if this runs mango than what nokia phone is suppose to run tango? this sounds like a great phone but the 710 is about a notch above this so makes me wonder if the 710 was $49 then the 610 should be free right?
-
It will run Tango cause it has less memory. But Tango is not a new OS, its just an update for Mango.
-
$49 subsidized
-
its can't be $49 because the 710 is $49 it would be pointless
-
Tango or Mango?
-
Looks great! I wish WP/Nokia would put these on TV.
-
Great commercial, they need to put these on the air in the US even if the phone isn't available. :p
-
Ha! After the bombastic beat and jumpcuts I was quite sold…moreso than I was first seeing the Lumia 710. Shows what affects me :-).
-
I have to say I wasn't impressed with the 710's design after seeing the 800/900. The 610 has redeemed the low-end I think.
