LG prepping three WinMo 6.5 phones

HTC's already announced it'll be launching the Touch2 as part of the Oct. 6 Super Duper Windows Mobile 6.5 launch day, and it appears LG may be getting in the game as well. You'll remember that back at Mobile World Congress earlier this year, LG announced that Windows Mobile would be its smartphone OS of choice. A Reuters report shows that partnership coming to fruition, with a trio of new phones available "in the next few weeks," and 13 more by the end of 2010.
Newswire goes a bit further and tells us to expect a QWERTY slider, a front-facing QWERTY and a full touchscreen phone. The United States, Europe and Asia (only half of the major continents) will get first dibs. And on top of Windows Mobile will be "LG’s own distinctive S-Class User Interface, which offers a unique 3D experience that works with Microsoft’s familiar operating system."
We're pretty sure of two of the three devices — the GW550 seen above, and Slashgear says we'll see the GM750 (seen here at right). Will the Monaco be the third?

Although they were not smartphones, I have had a couple of LG phones. They were durable and seemed to always work well for what they were designed to do. If LG continues that with their entry into the smartphone market it could be a nice addition to the product line up of WinMo smartphones.
