Microsoft has decided that at its Build 2016 Developer conference the company will not be giving away any hardware to developers as it has in the past. Usually, Microsoft gives away laptops and other goodies to attendees, but this year the company has decided to put the focus on the technical experience and skip the hardware giveaway. This decision will not likely be a popular one for most who are attending, as usually the hardware helps make the more than $2000 price tag to attend not feel so steep. From Microsoft:
"In some previous years Microsoft has provided a hardware giveaway to support platform development priorities for Build attendees. This year, we will forgo hardware in favor of delivering a deeper technical experience for developers."
It is not known what additional developer experiences Microsoft will be offering at Build 2016, but be sure to keep it locked right here for all the event coverage.
