What you need to know

  • Microsoft Inspire 2021 will run July 14-15.
  • It will be a virtual event.
  • Registration is open right now.

Microsoft Inspire 2021 was set to open registration in June many months ago, back when its dates were first announced in February, and now the tech giant has delivered on its original forecast. As of right now, you can register for the virtual event that runs from July 14 through July 15.

Inspire's targeted at business partners, meaning consumers shouldn't spend 48 hours in the middle of July waiting for massive news drops of relevance to them. For that sort of thing, check out the June 24 event, where Microsoft will unveil the next generation of Windows (which might be Windows 11).

However, that's not to say that interesting consumer-facing news never crops up at Inspire. Neat features such as Azure's speech translation made their debuts there, and Inspire 2020 especially had a decent smattering of Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Teams content to tide curious consumers over with.

You can always rely on Windows Central to cover the biggest Inspire news for you, though if you want to see the virtual event reveals firsthand, you can register over on Microsoft's site. Don't forget to read the blog post announcing that registration is open; it makes for flattering reading if you happen to be a Microsoft partner.
