Microsoft Office is the company's suite of productivity apps. The bundle includes Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher and Access. Recently, Microsoft unveiled the 2016 version of its suite for both Windows and Mac based computers. To gain access to Microsoft's Office suite of apps, you now have two options. You can purchase the software as a standalone product, or subscribe to Office 365, its subscription service that brings all the services at an affordable monthly cost.
With the upcoming release of Windows 10 Mobile, users will be able to keep their documents up to date, create new documents and more on the go with ease. All OneDrive users have access to 15GB of free online storage, and if more is needed it can be purchased as well. Office Online sync is included for free, so you can access, view, share and edit your documents from anywhere you may be.
Purchasing options are simple. As a standalone product, Office 2016 starts at $149 for the Home and Student version. Office 365 customers can access the services starting at $9.99 a month, or $99 for the year.
