Middle-earth: Shadow of War's new story trailer prepares us for the battle to come

The hype is palpable around Middle-earth: Shadow of War, and WB is stoking that even further with a new trailer. Rather than focusing on gameplay, this latest trailer gives us an epic glimpse into the game's story in order to set up the battle to come. Check it out below:

In the trailer, we get a look at Talion and Celebrimbor using the power of the New Ring to raise an army in the struggle against Sauron and the Nazgul. We also get a look at some of the allies and villains that we'll encounter throughout the game.

An expanded version of the Nemesis system that made Shadow of Mordor so unique returns in Shadow of War, opening up endless possibilities for interacting with enemies.

Shadow of War was originally planned for an August release, but that has since been pushed back to October 10. Developer Monolith stated that this is in order to add some extra spit and polish to the game, but there has also been a bit of speculation that the delay could be intended to better line up with a potential Project Scorpio release date. It's impossible to know for now, but we should know much more soon, as E3 kicks off in just a few days.
