It's okay. We won't tell anyone what you did.

  • Good time to release a new build Rebel Base, Hoth... using the new beta app!
  • Apple just slammed the windows upgrade process "very sad". Not sure releasing another Windows build on such a day would make a lot of sense ;)
  • Always a good day for a build dude; also gives us something to discuss other than the lacklustre apple event.
  • Look at Lumia Icon, do I need to explain further? More than half of my WP devices will not be officially upgraded.
  • Icon isn't entirely Microsoft's fault. Verizon wouldn't release an update even if there was one. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Yes, I agree. Those iFans sure are treated right by Apple! First they get revolutionary; then they get evolutionary; now they're getting devolutionary! Those lucky bastards!
  • Whats really sad is the windows hybrid ads comparing macbook hate to say it but this years modbook looks interesting as it looks like it has a zboard-like keypad built-in
  • Love me some battlefront. I need some friends to play online with. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • ha haa.. let them do whatever they want! ~DheeraJ~
  • Well apple is doing the same thing again. Maaaaaarrrrrrrkeeeeeeettttttiiiiinnnnngggg.Nothing new.
  • Well, they built a new robot that can break things. That's best news all day!
  • In fact, I was shocked to learn Apple sold 30 million 4" iphones alone in 2015.Isn't apple still not winning?
  • Winning what?
  • Android wins, Apple is around 15% or less (excluding in its own Country, where they can sell a sh### and people will buy and happily eat it). S7 Edge beats 6S in just everything (waiting for a real wp flagship, hopefully in 2017....)
  • android market share means nothing. Almost all of the android OEMs are struggling to stay afloat. Most of the android device sales are on < $100 devices.
  • Android winning?... Apples 15% is one, Androids is split into hundreds.... The only entity "winning" might be Samsung.
  • Well that phone size is top selling point. Don't know why is Microsoft insisting on 5"+ phones when most selling one was their own Lumia 520. It's not about specs which of many(must of) people don't even care about. Make it look nice, not bigger than 4.3", give it a nice camera and you have one of the most wanted phones.
  • Their own Lumia 520, which was actually Nokia and well before Microsoft bought them, was a cheap smartphone that worked. Back then cheap Android phones were crap (they're much better now). The iPhone's record breaking Q4 sales last year were a direct result of the larger iPhones, they sold 75M of those in that quarter and in the last Q4 they repeated that. There's a reason all the best selling phones on platforms that actually have sales numbers are the larger devices
  • So, should we start exchanging PSN IDs and add each other on Google+?
  • Lol Sent using Windows Central for Windows 10 on my Lumia 1520
  • One of them is not as likely as the other. :P
  • Yes
  • Ofcourse!

  • Think MS will be there?
  • I'd rather work then watch Apple cast it's sheep magic.
  • Yes. There are better things to see on the net, than boring ios events.
  • I'll watch some paint dry. Less boring to me. LOL
  • What you wrote though was, you'd rather work first, then watch apple cast sheep magic. Sorry bro
  • I'm clipping my toenails instead.
  • Yet you're still here.
  • Bleh...
  • Apple doesn't reveal iPhones this early? Isn't that usually a big event in September? Sent using Windows Central for Windows 10 on my Lumia 1520
  • they have to run. since they been flat on the market last year
  • My understanding was they were announcing a midrange iPhone like the 5c was. Could be wrong Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Midrange which still costs about 550€ :D and probably has specs of Lumia 640.
  • Ok? Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Actually is is basically same specs as iPhone 6s....starting at $399.
  • Just with a tiny screen. The screen on my 5s was too small so I upgraded to an iPhone 6. I don't like the iPhone enough to go for the Plus as I rarely use it but a 4 inch phone is just ridiculousness for my usage. I need a 5 inch screen or above to be able to view content comfortably.
  • Actually Apple said that users wanted to go back to the 4 inch screen since the phones had a better fit in their hand compared to the bigger screen.
  • Well, Apple users are known to have small hands...
  • dude lol
  • It definitely is all about preference.
  • I agree.
  • Great phone at the right size.  I think I'm oughta here...just gotta scrounge up the fundage.
  • What I readed was stating it was 550€, but that just might be those "Taxes" we have in here finland. still it is expensive as F! you can get cheaper android or windowsphone. this is fact.
  • "Frenimies" LOL :P it's pretty great they are supporting Edge :-) it's an amazing browser :-) Enjoy the event people! Cheers! :-)
  • The release of iPhone SE will shrink the WP market share further.
  • And probably help the iPhone and iPad markets shrink further
  • Maybe if it wasn't so damn ridiculously priced. I mean come on, $399 for the phone and a $100 increase for each doubling of storage when you can get the ipad pro for $599? Seriously, their pricing is insane. I WOULD totally buy a 5se for $100, but for $399 NO WAY
  • But woul you buy a Windows phone for $400 ?
  • Why not. I had already upgraded to L950XL.
  • And I WOULD buy a new, lower end Mercedes for $10,000 but that would never be possible.  You don't get one of the best processors for $100.
  • Seems like a really good price, to me, for a phone with arguably the best processor/GPU combo on the market, a great camera, and a thriving ecosystem.
  • hehe, WP market share, good one
  • Sales start last day of Q1. In that one day its likely to sell more than all Windows phones combined during whole Q1.
  • Damn true.
  • If you don't mind all the slobber and lipstick marks on the screen, you can always watch it over on BGR :D
  • Nothing to do right now, might as well see what the competition is up to.
  • Thank you but no, thank you. I am totally devoted to the big M. Posted from my 950xl for Windows Central!
  • Would you like fries with your Big Mac?
  • Right..
  • Always good to watch all the big tech releases. Amazing how far all platforms have come in such a short period of time!
  • This “Se” variant is a big threat to Windows Mobile. Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • Microsoft currently is the biggest threat though :)
  • LOL
  • My first reaction was LOL but then I though, "well.........he's right."
  • Iphone **** edition By your mom
  • Good i will buy a apple iphone soon what the f***
No release of wp10 for my lumia 1320
  • Sure you will, pumpkin. With the money you didn't have to buy a newer phone earlier?
  • lol
  • Lol. Don't laugh at that..
  • Lol. They can pay to buy new iPhones but no Lumias!
  • Apparently now he can buy the iPhone SE at just $399. Even as a big MS fan, I must say that's a good value.
  • That's the US price without tax (in other countries, the USD equivalent is higher). Even then, it's still way more than the cost of the 1320, or even the cost of a 1520 now, both phablets, so it's a silly comparison.
  • You're comparing the proce of phones that were released 2.5 years ago with much slower hardware and an OS that unfortuntely isn't on par with iOS to a phone that's running the same hardware as the latest flagship from Apple except for the "3D screen" feature? that's a bit delusional
  • Exactly.
  • Actually, that's a terrrible value. If this is truly a low-end model it should have low-end pricing. This is a $150 phone at best.
  • Who told you it's a *low-end* Mobile?
  • I wouldn't say low-end. It's their smaller flagship (at a flagship price), because the processor is very good, but if they still put 1 GB of RAM in it... Poor people who will face the flagship user experience of tab reloading, or apps sometimes force-quitting and throwing them back to the home screen. Posted from Bikini Bottom via my ShellPhone 950 XL
  • Besides the 1gb or memory, everything else about it is high end. It is not even close to a low-end phone.
  • I'd say the lack of wireless charging, the lack of OIS in the camera, the performance of the camera in low-light conditions, and the potential 1 GB of RAM are all some non-high-end parts of it.
  • I haven't heard bad things about the iPhone 6s camera in low light.  That said, lack of OIS stinks but hardly a big deal for me.
  • I haven't read any review that did not mention how poorly that camera module deals with low light conditions, let alone what my acquaintances and friends have shown me. If you can deal with the abovementioned shortcomings, though, then this phone might be for you.
  • My point being, that if this thing is only $200 less than an iPad pro with ALL the bells and whistles, there's no point to having this phone unless it was much cheaper.
  • Comment of the day
  • They'll be up to something unspeakably evil but rather dull, I'm sure. Might give it a look if only because I find the resemblance between Tim Cook and Paul O'Grady constantly amusing. (a British comedian/TV presenter for the rest of the world).
  • LOL.....that's true
  • Apple is bad, very!!
  • The question is, do they put articles like this over on iMore, telling the Apple people over there that they should watch Microsoft press conferences? And then afterwards when the few iFanboys start talking about the Microsoft product, are there swarms of people telling them that they should play nice, and there is no need to hate on Microsoft like there are here when anyone mentions Apple products? Somehow, I doubt that is a no on both parts.   I think it is interesting that 25 minutes in, all they have talked about is how they recycle their devices, and how they have a data harvesting tool to gather your personal information for research. No products.
  • None of this stuff is that serious....
  • I have seen one after another web sites like this one turn into an Apple fanboy haven. Where I am not allowed to talk about the products that I preferr, talk about the products that I have from Apple that do not live up to the hype, without people yelling and screaming at me about being a hater, how I need to shut up, how I need to play nice. Then they go on and on how they hate anything and everything that does not have the Apple logo on it, and if you disagree with them you are trying to take away their opinion. Meanwhile if I were to go to iMore and do the same thing that they do, then you damn well know that they will ban you, shut you down, and make sure you are silenced because your type is not welcome there. So if you want to complain about it not being serious, go over to iMore. Look through the articles where even peripherally mentions Microsoft and comment to each and every one of them that they don't need to be serious. WHen that happens, show me where you criticized those people. Until then, deal with it.
  • Tugging on Superman's cape.
  • You don't piss into the wind... Sent from Windows 386
  • Why are you so concerned about fanboys?
  • As I wrote, it is because I am fed up having to leave one Microsoft centered web site after another because the people who run the sites decide to let the the Apple fanboys take over. Sites like Neowin is a web site where Apple fanboys have been given total and complete control, you say anything pro-Microsoft you can expect a dozen Apple people screaming at you for making a choice that is not Apple. Say anything that is not a glowing review of the Apple product, then you have a dozen people screaming at you for being a hater. They post an article about Microsoft the Apple fanboys are there talking about how Microsoft copied Apple, anything Microsoft makes is junk, and complaining that there are not enough Apple articles. Post an article about Apple, and they are there yelling about how that article did not heap praise upon Apple. They will gladly ban anyone that the Apple people put enough pressure on the site to have removed. For example, I had an account there for about 8 years, then the Apple people started arriving. Eventually every time I wrote a comment they would repeat over and over how I had multiple accounts (I didn't), how I was stalking people I would reply to someone a couple times in a few articles, then they started sending me threatening personal messages. When I would turn those messages over to the people running the site, they told me to stop forwaring those messages or they would ban me. It happens the same on a number of sites. I just don't want to see this site turn into one of those sites, because there are not many of them left.
  • Keep taking wild swings at the champ, maybe you can land a punch.
  • Thank you for proving my point.
  • "The question is, do they put articles like this over on iMore, telling the Apple people over there that they should watch Microsoft press conferences? "
Of course they do. iMore does more back-linking here than we do to them. Trust me, I hear about it at our weekly meetings. It's our company policy to support each other this way.
  • Sorry. I did a search over there for a Microsoft event, and all I could find was: http://www.imore.com/press-windows-10-event-also-looks-apple-ad Where they mocked Microsoft for all the people using Apple. Can you honestly say that if you posted an article like that but in the opposite way (you wouldn't, I think you have more class than that) you wouldn't have that article flooded with Apple fanboys screaming at you for how hateful you are? And then there are the comments there, including the ones from Rene...
  • Rene looks like a mix of Jobs and Cook. lol
  • They will have to... since there are no so frequent news on iLemon items as Windows have !!
  • Silly question alert, but did you consider allowing the Windows Central app to pull content from the other Mobile Nations' feeds? A universal universal app, if you will. I personally would not want it in my main feed, but to be able to have the option to view a feed.
  • Well Please let us know if iMore mention that most of Apples event replicated Microsoft items such as their new health app intitiative that is basically Microsoft health Vault, the Pro series ipads are trying to be Surface pro, the green initiative which Microsoft has been building green data centers and even purchasing forests to preserve, as well as the  Apple news app trying to become Cortan with interests, suggestions, and trending topics. And finally, Apple bringing back the 4" iphone phone like BlackBerry tried remixing the Blackberry classic!
  • That's why we are so full of trolls, could you please tell them "thanks but no thanks"?
  • Let's go make an imore account and troll away. Love me some trolling. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Maybe present the update for all Windows Phone... Oh wait....
  • Maybe stay on topic. Oh, but you are Stevie Wonder, maybe you couldn't actually see that this is not an article about WP.
  • I would if I didn't have tons of studying to do
  • Love to see all the delusional Microsheep come out to play with their faux outrage.....
  • It would be nice to see an Apple or Android fan comment within the forums this site created specifically for fans of the diffent platforms. I would also be nice if Apple fanboy acknowlege when something Apple introduces is something that has already been done, but I guess you egoes are too big.
  • There is a way to do that - go to iMore.com, AndroidCentral.com, etc. The problem is Windows people don't go over there and comment like this "person" does because we have more class. Instead they need to come over here and attack, but if anyone were to say anything back he would be whining about haters. It is the nature of the Apple fanboy, they can't just be happy with what they got today (which wasn't much) they need to make it sound like Apple announced wonderful, magnificient things today. When all they did was rehash the same old same old - make something bigger, make something smaller, announce a new adapter rather than a truly elegant solution.
  • Oh look, it is the person who likes to pretend that he is a Microsoft user but once again showing that he is a Apple fanboy and can't resist trying his best to make sure everyone knows it. How about I go over to iMore and start attacking and mocking the users there over this non-event that happened today? Nah, I and most of the users here have more class than that. So scurry along, Apple fanboy, and leave the discussions to those who are not children.
  • I enjoyed using my PC and windows phone but one thing I don't do is whenever T. Cook say something and you guy all bend over.
  • New iPhone with W10m on it! ;)
  • SE (Soon Edition)
  • I'd so love that.
  • I would rather have Lumia 950 with iOS on it.
  • Well,I'd rather stay with the OS.It is the future _now
  • Lol
  • I don't care about Apple at all, but just out of curiosity, does anyone know the full list of browsers the Apple event supports? I can't find anything on either the Apple streaming page or the iMore article linked here.
  • you are kidding right? safari only
  • Actually, no, Edge is now supported too.  Weird, I know.
  • No, I'm completely serious. I figured that it was probably Safari only. Other than Edge.
  • It does work on Edge.
  • Their keynote presentation live stream fails to load on Chrome saying 'non supported browser', so you know it !! :-)
  • Ah, sweet justice!
  • It does work on Edge. Please do some research.
  • Really ? Did I say anything about Edge?
  • OMG! Stainless steel logo! Take that creaky plastic windows logo.
  • Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be magical™, game changing, and probably colored with rose gold.
  • Watching it on edge.. Kinda disappointed.. Just a bunch of old people being boring :v Msfts event had life. Though il accept, apples marketing team does what its supposed to. Microsoft's marketing team is busy sucking dick -_-
  • Best comment here. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Hahaha I expect more from windows 10 mobile
Bit it's tooooo bored of me
  • Gud luck for the event..
  • iSame.
  • Now I want to buy the iPhone instead of my Lumia 640XL... Hope that Microsoft will think something to make their users more satisfied.
  • 16gb, 12 mp crap camera, 4 inch screen for 400 US while you can get a 950 for 450 ?  Good luck with that toy.
  • Apple will sell more of these iPhones in one day than Microsoft has of the 950 since its launch.
  • Thats the beauty of it.  They are still buying toys for no reason other than "its an iphone" while your money would be better spent. Besides, it is clear Apple is doing all that because they are going to have problems will sales next year.  Ipad continue to sink, iPhones first year no new absurd sales records anymore, probably decline in sales starting.  Buying a phone because it sells more makes no sense.
  • iPhone might not be your cup of tea, but it certainly isn't anymore of a "toy" than an S7 Edge or 950XL.
  • I cant talk about S7 edge, but 950xl with continuum and its large screen is way beyond a 4inch iphone in terms of productivity.  Of course we could argue neither an iPod is more of a toy than an S7 Edge or any iphone but even Apple has already stated that their iPads were selling less because of the iPhone 6 large screen. Now... why would Apple want to bring back a toy err.. a 4 inch phone back to the market while trying to sell a brand new iPad Air 2?  While Microsoft is trying to make you spend less (Phone with continnum trying to be your one device for everything), Apple is trying to make you buy again 2 different devices, spend more, carry more weight, etc?  If i could guess who will gain more market in the future...
  • MS definitely won't be gaining more market in the mobile space.
  • Wow. I'm impressed. Is that your reply to everything?
  • No wonder you´re impressed, Apple fans are usually like that, impressed with a 3 years old phone with a new processor inside.
  • It is almost spec for spec an iPhone 6s in the 5s body.  Biggest disappointment is that it appears to only have 1gb or memory.
  • Even worse, iPhone 6s big "thing" was its 3d touch which is not there in se too.
  • That is the one feature I expected it not to have.  I really can't imagine I would even use it much.  In all fairness, I haven't tried it out either.
  • But thats the only feature that could improve your usability of the device.  Unless you just use your iPhone to play 3d games and want to run it smoother, the iPhone 5 and iPhone se would make zero difference in your hands (aside make you more attractive maybe?)
  • Are you talking talking strictly from a physical usability standpoint? Sure they are the same in that aspect, but clearly not close in internal hardware/software experience.
  • Yeah, becaue Apple's brand is a fashion statement now kinda of Perry Ellis, Guess, Izod, Guicci, etc.
  • What's satifying about the new 4" iphone to you? That is made of aluminum? That the app ecosystem is more mature? If you answer to any of the questions, then this is the same things from 4 years ago which means you really need more apps or want a phone from Microsoft designed more like the Lumia 925 with updates specs.
  • no thank you
  • I could care less what Apple announces. Cheers.
  • Apple make fun of PC users.
  • What's funny is that modern Apple computers are technically PCs. They can run Windows, too.
  • The best part about that is, if OSx is so great, why does it need to be able to run Windows lol
  • Honestly this was the worst part of the announcement.  It made them look very childish.  The talked about the longevity of their idevice lineup and then laughed at people for using 5 year old PCs.
  • They even gave a statistic about how they sold 30 million 4 inch iPhones last year. The last 4 inch iPhone was announced in 2013...
  • I've been watching out of curiosity.
