- Platinum Games revealed that Babylon's Fall is still under development.
- Developers are currently working on the game from home.
- The company hopes to have more news to share in the future.
Platinum Games took to social media earlier today to confirm that Babylon's Fall is still in development, following months of silence regarding the highly anticipated project.
The last time that Babylon's Fall was shown was during a December 2019 State of Play stream, where a brief gameplay trailer was revealed. Since then, not much about the game has been discussed, but that doesn't mean Platinum Games has slowed down work on it.
According to a statement on Twitter, the company planned to have things to show this summer, but is instead updating fans with the knowledge that the game is still being worked on, with developers safely working at home due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
"Thank you to all the fans who've been following along for updates on Babylon's Fall," Platinum Games said in a statement on Twitter. "While we hoped to reveal more about the game this summer, we can share that development on Babylon's Fall is continuing to progress well, with the team working safely from home. Square Enix and Platinum Games are committed to delivering an exhilarating experience and we look forward to showcasing much more on Babylon's Fall to you as soon as we can."
Due to the relative silence surrounding the title, Babylon's Fall still remains a relative mystery, including how it will play, when it will launch, and what platforms it will launch on once it does release. Thankfully, Platinum Games seems intent on keeping fans updated, so there should be more information coming at some point.
