Remedy Entertainment's next game expected to launch in 2019

Remedy Entertainment, the developer behind games like Quantum Break, Max Payne, and Alan Wake, revealed in a recent financial statement that its next big title is expected to launch in 2019 (via PC Gamer). Though details are light on the game itself, the developer announced the upcoming project, codenamed "P7," moved from pre-production to the production phase last year.

From Remedy:

Our other game project, project P7 that is being done with 505 Games S.p.A., proceeded from the pre-production phase to the production phase at the beginning of the period under review. The development of the game has progressed according to our plans. P7 is expected to be released during 2019.

Not much is known about P7 at the moment, but, as PC Gamer points out, it is expected to be a cinematic third-person action game available on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.

The financial statement also makes mention of another unannounced project that Remedy says it will begin working on during 2018. No details are available, but Remedy says it will begin hiring new staff. The developer also mentions that it will continue development on the single-player campaign for PC shooter CrossFire 2 in 2018.

Quantum Break, an Xbox One console exclusive, was the last big title to come out of Remedy Entertainment, and its already-impressive visuals recently received a bump up to 4K with an Xbox One X-enhanced patch.
