Not so long after the announcement (opens in new tab), Samsung are to launch the first Windows Phone Mango device in India, the Omnia W. Featuring a 3.7" Super AMOLED screen, 1.4Ghz processor and a 5MP rear camera (with FF VGA camera) the handset is no slouch in terms of power and functionality.
BGR reports that the mid-level Omnia W (opens in new tab) is to be priced at Rs 19,990 (about $400) and will be available sometime in November.

Isn't the term 'launches' wrong? Because they haven't launched it yet? I thought the term would be announced?Just curious, let me know if I'm wrong.
yea the launch should be reworded. If i recall correctly, Fujitsu windwos phone launched but i don't see any reviews.
I keep getting excited when I see this phone is being launched and announced only to see it is being launched in another country. Can we get some love in America? I don't want a 7.5" screen cell phone like the titan or any other gigantic phone out there on the market. I have an HD7 and honestly the screen is way too big. I feel like I'm carrying around an old school Apple Newton. I want THIS phone, preferably on Sprint or Verizon.
Where are some phones for Verizon? Can I at least get 1 more option other than the Trophy? I'm ready to trade in my Palm Pre for a Mango, but don't want to get a Trophy only to find out something new may be coming out in a month.
Saw something interesting in the source article:"It has 512MB RAM, 8GB Internal Memory that is expandable up to 32GB with MicroSD..."Expandable memory? That's news to me... good news :)I wonder if this is confirmed anywhere.
