A few months ago, Microsoft announced the Xbox Insider "Alpha – Skip Ahead" ring. The Skip Ahead ring allows Xbox Insiders to test out builds with features that won't be available to all Xbox One owners for many months. However, that timeline seems to be shifting. Skip Ahead Insiders will soon start receiving builds meant for 2019.
Today, an Xbox Program Manager by the name of Savannah posted a note to Skip Ahead Insiders on Xbox Wire. She thanked the gamers for testing out early builds and teased what's to come. You can read part of the statement below.
So what have our... Skip Ahead Insiders been doing since the ring launched and began receiving early builds? Well, they've been keeping busy. In fact, since launching the Alpha Skip Ahead ring, we've seen a great deal of response, including Quest and Survey completion and bug reports, that we wouldn't have seen otherwise... Very soon, we'll start moving Alpha – Skip Ahead users to a new set of builds planned for 2019, and we can't wait to receive early feedback on the platform. As always, we appreciate your enthusiasm and dedication to helping us make Xbox products and services even better!
